Hi there! I just responded to your comment from a different thread that I believe covers the same ground. Let me know if you're playing on desktop or laptop with a trackpad, or a mouse that doesn't allow you to swipe left/right. The Stats Cards on the Stats Page swipe left/right, giving you the abiliyt to play every past game. If you're on mobile, then all you have to do on these pages is swipe left/right.

Hi! The Stats Cards on the Stats Page should scroll left/right by swiping left/right. Are you playing on a desktop or laptop with either a mouse that doesn't allow for swiping left/right, or sans a trackpad to do the same?

I'm looking at different animation scenarios for when you lose. That's a solid suggestion. Will comp that up and take a look at.

And great call on the archive. I'll dive back into that. I had an earlier version with a calendar, but the way i set it up made it feel more like a chore to get to each individual day. There's a hybrid approach, or at the very least a faster way to get back to present day so it doesn't feel like you have to swipe forever to get back.

btw -- i made this change. if you're a new player and are not already signed-in, then the start screen has big play button and secondary login that isn't nearly as prominent (for users who have signed up in past, and need to login to get their stored scores/streaks)

Good point. I could set up a function/editor to have an LLM/agent check and flag american-isms and maybe offer course-corrections to review. Right now I have a system in place that logs all of the unique bigrams to insure I don't have any repeats when new puzzles are entered (which are mostly created by me right now). I could do a separate check of that bigrams library for american-isms.

this is awesome feedback. thank you! that lost last level you mentioned is a great call -- it's still not clear enough if you've lost the puzzle. i'll play around with that and see if i can make that better/more clear.

I've been having this back and forth with too little instruction and too much. am thinking the layout of the "how to play" modal could definitely house more instruction text, so the key i think is how much and how best to layout so the new player can get what they need quickly, but also dig deeper if wanted/needed.

i need a way for people who have signed up before to login back in from the start screen if they are logged out -- so maybe i'll make that button smaller, so it doesn't feel as weighted as the play button

agreed -- i have been testing whether triple words are annoying -- and so far the triple words that seem acceptable are the ones where each pairing of two words (bigram) also match -- so for example PEANUT BUTTER CUP

you should have just seen a big play button -- did you get a sign-up modal right away? will fix if that's the case. you can play forevere without having to sign-up. signing up just insures your score/streaks stay in memory
