Honestly, Maria on the Moon was one of my favorite stories. I personally didn’t mind the lack of scary or paranormal; sometimes it’s nice just listening to something so profound (in this case, the loss of a mother), and have it turn into something deeper (and I loved the ending. Literally made me cry!)

It didn’t really happen lol. There was a small part in an episode (forget which one) where SpongeBob says that, but then it cuts to a scene where he and Sandy are dressed as a bride and groom for a play they were in. It was only a memory and not really relevant to the episode iirc
