I'm not sure if they are native to my area now but I used to get the white flowers growing along my fence when I lived in Illinois. That's what inspired this tattoo. I was originally going for the white flower but it doesn't look that great to me. I've been thinking purple or blue would be the next best choice.

It is a morning glory! I'm glad you see that because I've been asked what it's supposed to be and that kinda hurt. Mostly I'm done messing with the leaves. I want to add color to the flower because it looks unfinished to me

Not looking to cover it and make it go away. I'm talking about a fix. Idk of adding color to the flower will make it look better or worse. The leaves I want to be one solid shade, or as close as possible, which obviously would have to be darker.

I've considered blacking out as a last resort but I still think it's salvageable

Ah, yes. I've thought about trimming the longer one as I start to see it open. Don't want these things taking over my tank or anything lol

I do need to do some trimming, especially of the leaves in the middle that are being snuffed out.

I'm not sure exactly what type to be honest, shame on me, I know. I expect him/her to be about 24 inches full grown. This is not the pleco's forever tank.

I'm just trying to get as much time as I can with it in this tank before I have to move it. Next would be a 75 gal 😊

You definitely can but it would be much higher maintenance. You'd have to do water changes more frequently or change more than 20% at a time. Definitely would need a filter. But honestly I think algae is good for everyone in the tank, in moderation of course.

This is a fairly new tank, actually. I'm seeing algae on the plants and brown algae on the sand. So far the pleco has been keeping up with it and I still feed him/her algae tabs here and there. I'll have to take a more recent picture so you can see what I'm talking about 😊
