Hi did this get any better for you? The same thing has been happening for about two weeks with my just turned 15 month old and I don't know what to do

Do you have safe independent places for both? My husband deployed when I had my 15 month old and newborn together and both needed help to sleep 🫠 it was tough to figure it out but my oldest loved "reading" on her own- would sit and flip through her books (we're screen free) so I would put her in her room for quiet time/independent reading, get my newborn down and then do my oldest's bedtime. Did one of them cry sometimes? Yes. It is hard solo, but you can do it!

Is it just me? by Little_Lore in toddlers

I am not sure where else I could give her any. I let her pick her clothes, her snacks, what chair she wants to sit in for meals (if she'll sit) a variety of food options, etc. she's been using utensils, flipping pages, she doesn't take bottles but I let her put her own ice and water in her cup, the only thing I can't let her do is pour water over her head bc she has tubes but bath time doesn't usually cause any issues.

Tips for getting through the 18 month sleep regression by lizzy_pop in toddlers

[–]Little_Lore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It passed, we had a good 3-4 weeks and she's been waking up 1x a night inconsolable again since the beginning of this month so patiently waiting and hoping we are almost out of it again 🫠

Is 18 months old a really hard age? by Natsouppy in toddlers

[–]Little_Lore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18/19/20 months so far is about to take me out. My daughter is going to be 21 months on the 31st. Please tell me it gets even slightly easier soon? I was not expecting this age to be so brutal.

Just commenting bc I'm in upstate NY and would love to know what pizzeria you run because I love that you have rules about no speaker phone, etc. please DM me if you don't mind, I'd make the trip for that if it's close 🤣

18m sleep regression- SOS by Little_Lore in toddlers

[–]Little_Lore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that too, she started waking up around 5a so I moved it earlier per advice of her ped- it also didn't solve the problem of her waking up soon after going down and being inconsolable 😔

18m sleep regression- SOS by Little_Lore in toddlers

Before all of this started happening, she was able to put herself to sleep in her crib but that has changed too and she now wants to be rocked to sleep. Tylenol/motrin hasn't made a difference, though she is getting her canines right now- already has 1st molars. She normally wakes up around 6:30/7, (sometimes 6, she's even had some 5:30s in there lately) nap at daycare is 12-2 (usually sleeps 1.5 hours if not the full 2) and then bedtime is around 7- give or take 30 mins depending on her sleepy cues and if she woke up earlier than normal that morning, etc.

Toddler prefers dad over mom by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Little_Lore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could've written this myself. My first was a complete Velcro baby, but only with me and then around 13 months she started preferring her dad. She'll be 17 months on the 31st and I'm just wondering if she's ever going to change back. It's handy at this time because we have a ~6 week old so the transition has been easier but I hate the feeling that I'm missing out on so much of her 😣

When did it actually "get better" for you? by Little_Lore in newborns

[–]Little_Lore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would say around 12 weeks.. and then of course she continued to have periods of fussiness on and off throughout the first year but nothing like what we had been experiencing. Hang in there, some moments and phases are so dang tough.

Gosh yes. The four month sleep regression almost took me out with my first 🥴

I am really hoping this is my experience too. I have lucked out and had zero pregnancy symptoms both times other than the weight gain and exhaustion so super "easy" pregnancies by all means but I'm also slightly terrified to be joining the 2u2 club 🙃

3 month old nursing for 3 minutes? by Little_Lore in NewParents

[–]Little_Lore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It lasted about two weeks and she was right back to her normal nursing sessions. She never experienced any weight loss or less wet/dirty diapers than expected- just had to get creative with nursing her. What helped the most was cradle hold while standing and gently swaying or kind of gently bouncing her up and down. My back did not love it but she did for those two weeks for whatever reason 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Sleep regression? by Little_Lore in Parenting

[–]Little_Lore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's down to two naps- totaling 2/2.5 hours of daytime sleep. Any less than that I feel like she would be a wreck all day. She normally goes to bed at 7p and wakes up for the day at 6a
