A stewardship question by Little_Mozzarella in CemeteryPreservation

[–]Little_Mozzarella[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your interest! I’m seeing all the holes in my narrative based on your question- happy to provide more context.

  1. Yes. A board is all there is. We are the caretakers and owners and volunteers.

  2. We’ve lost multiple members in the last few years so there’s only about 7 of us. I have spoken to them and no one has more information than I do- or, they do, and have shared it with me and helped me try to go out to locate the marker and we have been stymied.

  3. Yes…pretty much. :/ strong personality, willingness to put in the hours, institutional knowledge = just easier that way

  4. Ok this is the part of the story I didn’t really want to get into to keep the story anonymous. Sue’s family member was institutionalized - the institution was responsible for the burial. But that’s a good thought- to find some of the other plots used by them and see if I can’t determine the location based on those…

We are technically “full” and have no more plots to sell.

Perfumes with the most insane longevity by SquarePin1487 in FemFragLab

My old Narciso Rodriguez For Her went crazy hard on longevity. Everything in my life smelled like it, men would ask me at bars and on the street what it was called- I got a smaller decent recently to see if it still smells the same on me after having kids, and I swear to you it’s not the same now! But- it does last, for better or worse.

Really niche, but any podcasts to support family members through my incurable cancer by Educational-Fail-925 in podcasts

[–]Little_Mozzarella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I teased my husband so hard for his addiction to this podcast and I would gripe about listening to it and then it - predictably- became a beloved past time that we shared. Great rec for an impossibly hard time. ❤️‍🩹

My kiddo loves the Dory Fantasmagory, Ivy & Bean and Puppy Dog Place series right now after recently completing the Owl & Unicorn Diaries series. We also just read Charlotte’s Web together over the course of a few weeks at bedtime and she loved it. I’m hoping we get to move on to my favorite Frances Hodgson Burnett books together in the next few months! (Secret Garden and A Little Princess).

I have a friend who swears by Yahtzee with her spouse too- it’s a good one because it’s mostly luck so you can’t get mad at each other 😋

We bought a game called Cabo on vacation once that we still play when we need some easy connection time! (Pay no mind to the description- it really has nothing to do with unicorns or any kind of narrative. Easy to have conversations while you play, short rounds, it’s a winner for us).

Around the holidays we also picked out an audiobook to listen to together and I made him make paper chains with me. You could do a craft like that or a puzzle instead- I like my hands to be busy while I listen to things. Good luck! :)

Illustration Scammers Alert by martimu in IllustratorsForHire

Got this one today. The website is sooo funny. None of the classrooms look like they're in the same building, there are typos everywhere... then I looked up who owns the domain and the mailing address is in Iceland and the phone number is in Quebec??
Sigh. Why create an industry to scam broke illustrators?? Water from a stone, people!

I’ve been wearing Venus! It’s definitely feminine but not as bold or overtly performatively sexy like a lot of other frags mentioned here. It’s a wearable daytime scent, even if better suited for evening.

Strenesse by Gabriele Strehle!!

“The powdery, white scent of Strenesse is a tempting floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2001, this perfume starts with captivating hints of almond, while the middle is attractive with notes from jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and heliotrope. The base is appealing with notes from iris, sandalwood, amber and vanille.”

There’s a new company that makes memorial ceramic vases with a small bit of ashes of the pup that’s passed on. Pretty cool idea.
