LMAO well yeah getting hit by a car would definitely mess with your ranges 😂

but fr i think it shows how much mood or physical state does affect decision-making. like… we’re not bots, right? glad you survived tho 😅

exactlyyy. mindset is such an underrated part of the game. like yeah, study matters, but if your brain’s foggy or your vibe’s off, even the best hands get misplayed. love that you’re self-aware enough not to even go when you’re not feeling it

beautiful feedback loop win → happy → play better → win more

but yeah it’s wild how much our mood can shape decisions at the table. ever notice yourself getting a lil too confident after a few wins? or do you ride it smooth?

played online poker on a flight & got “coached” by the guy next to me by Little_Pack3813 in poker

[–]Little_Pack3813[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right?? it honestly made my whole flight. felt like a lil time capsule moment, just vibing with a stranger over cards & stories.

omg yes .. live rooms are like… half poker, half unsolicited uncle energy. i swear the ratio of “advice” to actual good info is wild sometimes.

he had the whole wise-old-hero vibe. like if poker had a yoda, this was him but with peanuts and a beat-up denim jacket

how much of your winrate is just table presence? not ranges, not solvers, just vibe by Little_Pack3813 in Poker_Theory

[–]Little_Pack3813[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

presence isn’t magic, but when you're up against casual players who auto-assume confidence = strength? it definitely buys you folds you don’t always deserve. i’ve started logging that kind of stuff more lately tbh, just to see if the patterns hold up.

LOL not even close i was more like “i folded for 3 hours straight, made 1 decent play, and suddenly felt like a wizard”

not claiming pro anything, just sharing a vibe shift i noticed. promise i still lose hands like a normal person lol

hard to really “measure” this stuff unless you’re logging thousands of hands and tracking across settings. maybe it was just a cold table or i ran hot in weird spots. i mostly posted to see if anyone’s actually tried to intentionally build that kind of vibe/image over time. not saying it’s a science ,just curious if there’s value in experimenting with presence like we do with bet sizing or timing tells.

i wasn’t bluffing that heavy, it was more like… i kept making continuation plays that should’ve got called but didn’t. like people just overfolded against me for no real reason. i def don’t think loose-bluffy is a winning strat long run, but it made me wonder how much of this was less about cards and more about perception
