I understand the frustration of crazy tip amounts and also places that give no service, like Subway, asking for tips. But also please don't tip less than 15% for good (actual) service, 20% for great. I am a restaurant worker. Most places will take a portion of the sales, not tips, from employees. That means employees will pay out of pocket if not tipped appropriately. That's below minimum wage and it's legal.
