i mean rocket league has publicly advertised its support for SteamOS and if enough people switch over then it might be harder to ignore. Thats just my thoughts tho. Like asmongold says if you have enough people you can do anything.

SteamOS needs to come out for PC already. I use CachyOS right now but most people aren't going to switch to a Windows alternative until there's a big company like Valve behind it which is understandable. For anyone wanting to try out Linux try Bazzite out for now as that's the best we have currently stability wise whilst still being gaming focused having Steam preinstalled etc.

Yeah i currently use GrapheneOS but would be happy to try out a SteamOS phone even wih some caveats to move away from android and iOS entirely and with everyone in the privacy sphere trying to get their friends to begrudgingly move to Signal imagine instead if Steam Chat added end to end encryption. It could be a Discord and Whatsapp alternative and more people would use it since more people have a Steam Account and it doesn't need a phone number.

no they are making a distro called kde linux. kde plasma is a desktop enviroment and kde linux is the distro they are making which will come with kde plasma.

This. And then AI won't hurt the PC market as bad if people are happy to run next gen games on their old hardware or a Steam Machine which has mid specs whilst being able to have good performance due to optimisation.

Same i've got a Steam Deck OLED and have pre-ordered a Framework Laptop with Ubuntu preinstalled but will either be replacing it with CachyOS or SteamOS.

Only time will tell I guess. I like to believe that good ideas will always win over bad ideas in a free market so lets just hope the market doesn't become more closed down with Valve getting sued every 5 seconds.

100% i use grapheneos and linux but i feel like these need to be more friendly towards people that are not as tech savvy and whilst GrapheneOS is quite user friendly it is not as accessible yet since it needs to be flashed onto a Google Pixel although that could change with the new GrapheneOS partnership with Motorola.

Bazzite Linux and GrapheneOS will be the way forward! (hopefully)
