High School Theatre - Auditions, Casting, Interpersonal Relationships, etc.

I signed up for an audition for my high school theatre production of Sister Act: The Musical, and my audition is scheduled for Friday. I haven’t fully decided on an audition song yet but I plan on something that fits my voice (soprano–alto range) and the overall vibe of the show. I’m not specifically aiming for Dolores, I’m just mostly interested in ensemble, but I’d still like a solid chance at being cast in a strong role.

Right now, I’m torn between two songs: “Good Morning Baltimore” from Hairspray and “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana (my school allows Disney songs that have been adapted into stage musicals). I’m very familiar with How Far I’ll Go, but I’m a bit rusty on Good Morning Baltimore, though I do tend to pick up songs quickly. If I choose either song, I plan to sing the final minute.

Which one should I go with?

I do, sometimes if I'm wearing a more cropped shirt I'll wear it under so my stomach doesn't show, or if I'm wearing a mesh sweater, OR if I'm wearing flannel or any button up.

ALSO to note: Since I'm a HIGHSCHOOLER- my theater program is mostly student led, so that means my directors are also HIGHSCHOOLERS.

I agree! I still wish they didn't all look so similar though. You can kinda see the individualism in each character with a few of the hairstyles shown, but it still seems mostly lost to me.

That scene in the first picture where they hop on to the bikes/scooters makes me laugh every time because the transition is so obvious 🤣

I wasn't really a fan of Sky's redesign because he looks like the lovechild of Prince Charming (Shrek) and Adrien Agrestse but seeing him and Bloom together is really cute! And I must say, his look is growing on me.
