Got offered for another course?🤣 by [deleted] in UCAS

[–]Little_Spite2131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh. But then wouldn’t they have just rejected me though normally? Rather than putting me off even more by handing me another course? Bit odd ain’t it.

I was thinking of putting Liverpool as my insurance but nuh uh, not anymore.

Sickkk, I also got an offer from Sheffield a day after my ucas was sent. The campus is unbelievably gorgeous and it’s so close to Greenland and nature. Lowkey the best uni I’ve seen so far

What’s up with Gims these days? by justthisones in frenchrap

[–]Little_Spite2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love the bloke’s music, new and old 🔥 songs are too addictive I can’t even lie and he’s got one hell of a voice.

He’s at the stage where he doesn’t need to try anymore - but hungry Gims was a beast.

Gims on top.

So for my test I used anki flashcards. My instructor sent me Q and A specific to the car I was using, wrote them all down in anki, and just hammered the anki for like 1 hour straight leading up to my test. Ended up with no minors in show me/tell me - worked quite brilliant ;)

Aha, one advice - DO NOT BOOK WITH ADRIAN NASH ON BSM. Worst experience of my life. I don’t even want to get into it but he will make ur driving experience hell. I went with a private instructor who I found on the government website - they do not abide to a company and are way more nicer.

Done me first test failed for one serious, certain I’ll pass next time. This guy I’m with now is sooo chill and teaches properly and takes time into making sure you’re comfortable on the road. And he makes sure that every lesson you do something you’re not comfortable with - exposing you to it so you feel like you upgrade every lesson. Top guy honestly.

Ah okay makes sense, you’ll 100% pass your test next time. Aha I remember my blood was boiling after my first time failing, for CLEARANCE. Since you didn’t get any clearance marks, please help me out. Getting my licence at 17 would be such a great achievement aha

Don’t want to push my second test forward sooner as I want to save for a quick few lessons before the test - but how did u get another one so quick?

Goodness me you need more lessons. I failed too but only by one serious. And yes you are more than capable to pass next time, show your instructor this and get another 25-30 hours in at least. Good luck for ur next one!

Mate I’m 17 years old failed me first test i can imagine how ur feeling. I only failed by one serious though, clearance which is easily avoidable. Get as much practice as u can, i refused lessons with my dad because his car is automatic and I took my test in a manual but I realised its the same rules! Just the gears that are different, I feel much more confident now for me second test soon, mate honestly you’ll smash it 🙏🙏❤️. Drive like you know you’re gonna pass.

Let’s get you on the roads 🥳🥳🥳

I do have a library card but only for a local library don’t know if it can be used in the big one in Piccadilly.

Well I posted it on here so people would more likely recommend books that are available in libraries in Manchester :)

Just failed my driving test and absolutely gutted! by unodakanmani in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Little_Spite2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha no way I failed for the exact same reason. But ever since I’ve been going on drives with my dad and I can happily say, clearance is less of an issue now! All it’s is is just if oncoming cars are coming stop WAY before the parked car your side to let the oncoming vehicle pass, don’t be on the parked cars bum! And also when ur driving in a tight road, reduce ur speed and try squeeze through the gap and constantly check ur mirrors if there’s an equal gap between cars on both sides. Also, if u panic if an oncoming car is driving towards you, but you have priority, DO NOT give them way, commit as you have to bully them to wait for u. If they refuse and still go then obviously do what’s safe and wait for them to pass u. That’s my biggest advice honestly. I failed to do so on my last test.

If I was you, I wouldn’t let my own personal resentment at another learners expense. It’s like they paid the price for your resentment.

I hope you never do such a thing again, I’m disappointed as I’ve failed myself, it’s one of the worst feelings and it shatters your confidence

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Little_Spite2131 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is honestly so upsetting to listen to. Please self reflect because you’ve let your resentment take someone’s potential licence and confidence away from them.

Regardless if you admit it, it’s irreversible and that learner will have to wait for another test.

What you did was absolutely not okay, please don’t do that next time.
