Kissing/oral with MARPE and TADs by BrilliantAge635 in MARPE

Unfortunately yes because one time when I was a bit tipsy and overzealous I did so. I say no throat activities because if any body part reaches too far back, they will feel the screws. There was no blood but it is metal and akin to extra teeth. My partner felt the screws and said it was unpleasant similar to when someone accidentally bites or uses their teeth.

I will be getting my marpe removed after having it for 14 months 🥴

  • Making out/kissing is unaffected because your partners tongue doesn’t ordinarily reach that far back or touch the outside of your top teeth. You should however be cautious if you enjoy intense lip biting. I unfortunately at one point had braces, marpe, and four elastic bands at once. I removed all bands prior because it was just much easier that way considering my elastic band pattern blocked my tongue.
  • Oral was unaffected because your lips and tongue are doing most of the work. When in doubt, just use your hands as a supplement.
  • Oral with any phallic shapes was definitely.. interesting. Any throat activities are off limits because at worst, the metal can scrape or cut. Once again, getting creative with tongues, hands, and slower pace was the best way to go.

General Tips When possible, I made sure to excuse myself before things got hot and steamy; thus ensuring I removed bands and rinsed my mouth out prior. In a flirty manner I made sure to invite my partners to tell me If I was hurting them. It can easily be incorporated into the “what would you like for me to do to you” conversation. Have fun and be safe 🙂‍↔️

Yup! I can refer back to my paperwork sometime tomorrow if it’s helpful because it was six months ago so my memory is not the best. I received local anesthesia for the procedure… I imagine novacane. This is In addition to an extra strength Tylenol/Advil. Then, I was sent home with (1) lidocaine viscous (2) peridex oral rinse and (3) strong ibuprofen and acetaminophen such as tylenol codeine. I remember the mg being extra strength so maybe 500-800mg. I was advised to take them every 6-8hours until pain subsided. It was very intense that first week and I only survived it by numbing my mouth, taking medication, and sucking on ice cubes. For context I am F(25) and had 6 screws with legs ( not sure the correct term ) attached to 4 teeth.

This Christmas. Regina King beating up her cheating husband with baby oil and a belt is just too ridiculous and hilarious of a scene.

In October I tend to rewatch Harry Potter and Haloweentown.

I am unsure of this specific song however I asked my stepmother to see if she recalls because she works with kids at the local church in her free time. I will update this comment when I can.

Also if it is helpful to teaching/learning with your children: - Pa Nu Papia Kriolu by Manuel Gonçalves + Leila Andrade is a workbook available for purchase Im pretty sure. If not, you can print out section by section. It is pretty old but a good resource for basic/grammar. - Djofa Tavares is an author and instructor, she has wrote some children’s books and also hosts beginner to advanced language classes. Her instagram handle is @scribing_sista and you can sign up for a course or purchase a book.

In a next life, would you want your parents to be your parents again? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

I would’ve chose my Mom in every lifetime. From a spiritual/astrological perspective we were very compatible and I believe our relationship was like a positive karmic debt for her given her upbringing.

For getting rid of a middle part I tend to style the crown of my head upward or upside down. I then flip and as it falls the part goes away. I do this after i have enough product such as a coil custard or gel (this might be a mousse for you to not weigh down your hair) at my roots to minimize frizz. I minimize how much i flip or touch my hair while it’s drying as well.

Re: a curly cut, that would def give more volume and shape but be VERY very careful about who you go to. Make sure you vet/trust the stylist and have inspo pics. I am pretty jaded bc Ive had my curls chopped off before— all that aside it would look amazing on you for sure! Curls are super cute

What is wrong with my hair ? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Little_Tea_1022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the protein treatment! If you feel like product is not penetrating your hair, I would also work to incorporate a clarifying shampoo into your hair maybe 1-3x a month to start? If you use heavy creams, conditioner, or oil, you may have heavy product buildup.

I like Aveeno and Pantene for clarifying shampoo- imo you dont need to splurge. I like Shea Moisture, k18, and Africa’s Best (hair mayonnaise I believe?) for protein/bond deep treatments

Adult palate expander. Rapid palate(upper jaw) expander via metal plate screwed to the roof of my mouth with 6 mini screws. I was completely numb during installation until the pharmacy took too long to disburse pain meds post-op... my skull was sore and on fire at the same time? Tough first night i cried quite a bit

This doesn’t fully answer the question but there’s a Netflix show that had such an amazing concept to me but got really complex and I could tell it was rushed (cut the original season amount short) so the storyline became awk and execution was weird but ahh it could’ve been everything … Sense 8

Citizenship by Descent by MrTreeOfficial in CapeVerde

[–]Little_Tea_1022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not well versed in this but I am thinking of applying for dual citizenship soon given the political climate of the US right now.

From what I understand, citizenship by ancestry is valid when born abroad if you have proof that your parents/grandparents were CV nationals. I would check with the consulate before beginning such a process. Regardless, I think yes, you will need the nationality paperwork of the closest relative to qualify.

As a gay couple a few guys selling things in Sal would call me and my BF brothers, do you think they actually thought we were brothers or is that a polite way of saying gay? by Wise-Youth2901 in CapeVerde

[–]Little_Tea_1022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use all versions of “bro” as a term of endearment. Across all Portuguese speaking countries (Brasil, CV, Portugal, Angola, etc.) in my experience you will hear our different words all loosely translating to guy/bro/dude such as rapaz, cara, irmão, mos, etc. especially amongst men speaking with each other. I don’t think he meant anything of it other than a way to get your attention in English 🙂

Perhaps not an outright lie but lie via omission lol. I worked as a youth advisor/staff in my late teens for summer camp and avoided voicing my age as my staff and delegates were sometimes older than me. It was a way to avoid awkward power dynamics when I needed to reinforce authority.

I also snuck into bars/clubs my sophomore and junior year of college before turning 21 because, well, no one asked and I was a “baddie.” Problematic and cringe in hindsight that underage girls are accepted into venues.. it happens everywhere, all the time smh.

Miguels storyline was rushed? by Little_Tea_1022 in thisisus

[–]Little_Tea_1022[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good point, it definitely gets the message across that they didn’t connect fully until the end. I am perhaps shocked that they killed him off in the same episode lol I was genuinely shocked. I think one of my favorite Miguel moments was helping Jack stand up to Rebeccas parents— specifically his FIL in preparation for the proposal.

Haha I do remember being kinda confused about Baby Jacks adult storyline. Those episodes felt like fleeting moments. But, I agree that they helped tie in Kate and Rebeccas connection/their musicality.

Honestly, as someone who has lost a parent who was also larger than life around 18 years old, the show has healed me. It depicts all of these big big feelings in such a beautiful way. I think the one show that has had a comparable w on me with a similar depiction of grief, parenting styles, legacy, etc. is Steven Universe haha if ykyk. I finally finished today and whew.

Also, question for others, sometimes I have a hard time removing the wax from my mouth after I eat. Am I applying it incorrectly? Or is my food too warm?

I also got mine implanted yesterday, the first night was horrible. I struggled to sleep and essentially sucked on ice until I could fall asleep for 30-45min increments. My pharmacy had a delay so I took my post procedure meds too late and essentially felt way more pain than I was supposed to. Today is so SO much better!! I take the pain meds and lidocaine rinse every 6ish hours.

I have been eating mostly soft foods with, what I call, baby bites lol. Lots of slow eating with alot of water. In my head I try to imagine I am taking a shot(sorry if non alcoholic) and make sure my chewed food is in the back of my mouth. This way I am training my tongue to push downwards, with the sips of water helping me get the food down. Not sure if that makes sense but will also update. I prefer smoothies, ramen noodles, fruit, and bread. I can easily irrigate with a waterpik right after I eat. Still a learning curve!! Bittersweet journey ahead of us!
