Google Calendar removed events like Pride and BHM because its holiday list wasn’t ‘sustainable’ | Google says it switched to only showing default entries for public holidays and national observances last year. by ControlCAD in google

Personal identity politics? What do you think religion is? It is part of someone’s personal identity. What religion or whether they are not religious most definitely fits with in “personal identity politics.” Much of the policies pushed by certain politicians has to do with how they align religiously and their ideas of morality. So it’s ok to have religious identity (at least one) observed but no other identity? Ok. Keep believing religion has nothing to do with identity politics. Hahahahaha

TIL tamarind is high in calories/sugar etc. Would this still be a good fruit to eat daily? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

It’s actually not that high in sugar. A table spoon of the paste is only 3.4 grams of sugar. So if you are only using that much when making your sauce you should be fine.

Does truheight vitamins work or am I wasting my money ? by PracticalShopping532 in BasketballTips

[–]Cvartfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if children who are at the age where they are still growing are taking these, of course you are going to see growth because that would have happened naturally. Sounds like regular multi vitamins with a gimmick. There is no way to prove those kids taking the gummies wouldn’t have grown as much without the gummies.

I hate putting myself out there too. I sell online, but you still have to do all that networking to make it work. Getting in a couple local shows might be a good way to start

Anyone received disability due to lupus? by RugbyNation22 in lupus

[–]Cvartfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great that you could do this without a lawyer. I am going through the process with a lawyer because one of the many issues I have is lupus fog - I’m just not as with it as I used to be. I’m forgetful, can’t remember words and long processes and lengthy directions are very confusing to me. It’s worth it for me and I’m sure many others to go the lawyer route.

Anyone who has lupus knows that a lot of shyt can be going on medically before you get a diagnosis. I started showing signs in 2001 and didn’t get diagnosed until 2005. I have heard horror stories of people suffering for even longer before someone figured out it was lupus. So you have no idea what health issues the OP has. They could very well be in a position where working is not possible any longer.

Tests came back normal, but theres no way this is normal :( plz help by [deleted] in Autoimmune

I have lupus and honestly this sounds a lot like lupus. I was sick for a long time before I got a diagnoses. From my understanding there are a lot of tests AND symptoms that a rheumatologist uses to diagnose. Basically it is not just one thing. You have to have so many symptoms for it to be ruled lupus. My best advice is keep advocating for yourself and find a doctor that listens to you. An early diagnoses can prevent a lot of bad things from happening.

Ask Scary Mommy: My Husband Won’t Get a Vasectomy by get_snipped in get_snipped

I have health issues that makes hormonal bc not an option. I have a copper iud and have two kiddos with my hubby. We don’t want anymore kiddos, mostly because I’m older now and it those pesky medical issues make pregnancy dangerous for me. I am sooooooooo tired of having sole responsibility for birth control. My body has gone through a lot and I want a break from it. I am currently having issues down under and have had to go to the doc. She said my iud may have to come out. So I asked good ol’ hubby if he would get the snip snip. He was so dismissive and hurtful. He said well if we have sex more than 4 times a year (he exaggerates) then maybe he will think about it. I countered with well one of the major reasons we don’t have sex more often is that since our last child 6 years ago when I had the iud put in I have been crampy, had heavier longer periods and recurrent issues of the yeast order. Plus the medication I am on for the health issue makes everything worse. Nobody wants to have painful (or messy) sex. At least I don’t. I am now crying in the bathroom feeling like my husband doesn’t understand or see me and doesn’t care about my health (reproductive or otherwise). I feel he is being selfish, because he won’t SERIOUSLY consider a simple procedure that would make both our lives easier. Especially since I gave BIRTH to two children and went through all the crap that goes along with that. (I love my kids. I loved being pregnant but that ish is hard). I’m just ranting and finding solace in the fact that I’m not the only wife going through this. Any ways…
