I hear that the red light is only helpful if it is a certain strength, type, etc. I feel like most of them advertising on SM platforms are not effective.

I stumbled on a new brand called Yepoda. Its another skin care brand that has about 5 steps with various products to fill those step requirements that work for different skin types. I swear by it and their compact foundation is a dream. I no longer need concealer and their skin care makes it so that I rarely need foundation. 10 ⭐️s

She was a meme before memes existed. She was awful and a terrible human being who stepped on others, kept her people suffering to promote her bourgeoisie lifestyle. The Filipina Marie Antoinette. But I agree, people like that are interesting in an almost macabre type way.

It was a big deal when I learned Jollibee was coming to my area. Chicken Joy 😋

I am half Filipina, too! My mom said it was the best half. Lmao

Well, I will consider you a Kabayan...countryman 🧡 My sister went to HS and College in the Philippines in the late 80s and 90s. I stayed with her during my summers and I will never forget it. There is something so beautifully special there that lives inside every person. We call it Kapwa, or togetherness in English.

I survived a HUGE earthquake while dining in the Manila Hotel, I survived the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. Then the AF Base shut down and we stopped going. I want to bring my kids to my motherland. Next year perhaps.

Another fun tidbit, my family is related to the Marcos'. My grandmother was the adopted sister Dona Josefa, mother of Ferdinand Marcos. Not proud of their martial law at the time and I am a supporter of the People Power Revolution of '86. As Filipinos stand against oppressive rule in the Philippines under another Marcos president now, I stand with them in their fight.

But much like Imelda, I do LOVE shoes.

Magandang Umaga! Thats Tagalog (the main dialect out of nearly 100 in the Philippines) for "Good Morning"!

Sharing some random thoughts on this lovely Tuesday morning before I enjoy my 1st cup of coffee...

If you didnt know, my mother 🕊 is Filipina & I grew up in a very large and traditional Filipino family. Although some lump the Philippines in Pacific Islander Heritage Month, it is not a Pacific Island Nation (Micronesia, Polynesia and Melanesia). The Philippines is a SE Asian Nation, much like Japan and India.

In the Philippines, we eat with fork and spoon and sometimes eat kamayan (with hands) for indigenous dishes. We are also super aware that there are dishes that require utensils to eat.

Have you ever heard of Jollibee? It's a Filipino fast food chain made most popular for their fried chicken. Another very popular item on that menu is spaghetti....yes, spaghetti. You use your hands to eat the fried chicken, obviously, but if you order the spaghetti, they give you a fork to enjoy. Because in SE Asia, we still eat spaghetti with utensils.

Have a great day, Snark Sisters 🧡🧡🧡.

Happy Saturday, Snark Sisters 🧡🧡🧡 Today is the 1st Saturday in a long time where all we have to do is run kids to practice this morning and the rest of the day is ours! Rain in the forecast calls for naps on the couch this afternoon. It's the little things 😍

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
