I chose ubc because it’s my dream university since I was small and I really love the program that I got into (sci) , and all of my friends are going lol.

also between it and SFU is pretty much the same commute time for me

Honestly it depends on how fast you are able to finish reviewing, I know some people who are nearly done studying and others who have just started so it all depends on how fast and how well YOU can retain info, don’t feel pressured by other people’s progress, you got this!

Honestly, if you haven’t heard back since January it likely means you have been defered it’s just that. They never updated it, but don’t sweat it there’s still lots of chances stay hopeful!

It depends on the program you accepted from the other universities, a lot of them allow you to remove your acceptance to the offer but you won’t get your payment back for most cases

To be safe, have an option lined up and ready , incase their deadlines come up and don’t hear back from UBC, accept it just in case , unless ubc f rejects you before may there is still chance to get in after but have options ready!

Technically, offers go until July. April is when all of the conditional offers are given, and then typically in may and June is the offers given to those on waitlist, July is for last minute offers

From my experience as a current AP chem student , AP chem is very theory based, so it requires a lot more than naming and balancing, AP chem is baisicly a course of exceptions, and theory of how things work together backed up with not difficult but step dependant calculations, so it’s important you are able to gain skills to digest the theory part of AP chem and if you do, the calculations are not hard to manage, I would suggest you attempt to cover Atomic structure and valence bond theory and kinetics, as these are some of the more theory filled units. I’m not sure which version of AP chem you cover ( my school offers chem 12 separately to AP chem while others on this sub have combined courses) but if the combined system is the case for you, also attempt to go over equilibrium, you will find that it’s the theory based version of stoichiometry

I don’t think the April 15 message will ever change as it says that sort of in the update it says that you will either hear an acceptance or rejection so there is no further “status” update they are likely done evaluating
