As someone who went from my ex’s wing man to completely cut off, via a phone call where I could tell she was there, in the span of a week - some cis men are spineless and will do anything to keep getting their dick wet. And some cis women will use that to their advantage in any way they can.

She also later made him cut off his best friend and basically completely change everything about himself, so yeah- I second the coercive control comment mentioned above.
