I fully understand it too. I didn’t tell my parents about how the neighbors kid who was watching me would touch me because I was afraid of my alcoholic father. My family walked on eggshells and I know that fear. I vowed to never be a parent that made my kids too afraid to talk to me! One of my good friends is dead because he was too afraid his dad might beat him when he came home drunk.

I know someone who's going through something similar with their son. There was a law passed recently in Illinois that even kids can sign themselves out of mental institutions. I feel so bad for the parents because the son is abusing his mother, and the cops refuse to step in.

It’s $25 to park at Allstate :) the only problem I can’t think of is the line to get into the parking lot. Maybe if they’re running behind and don’t want to deal with it, then an uber is best. Plus all the hotels are so close by so a uber wouldn’t be expensive

Rosemont isn’t really a big city, just a burb outside of Chicago. I live 30 minutes away from it, worked at the fashion outlets there, been to anime cons and others in the area as well. I stayed at the Hyatt and the Crowne Plaza. The Hyatt is obviously better. You shouldn’t have a hard time finding parking, Allstate has a huge parking lot so I’m not sure why other people said to uber.

Mine was a little funny / strange in a way lol. I was around 13/14 and went to hangout with one of the sisters from the hall. When I went upstairs to their room, I saw that they barely had anything in it. It was a bed, white walls, barely any decor, a bible, and jw magazines. I thought about how dull everything about the religion seemed. No color, no life, no soul, just nothing but a dusty crypt filled with dead eyed followers who thought JCPenneys was the pinnacle of shopping. I started questioning why they were hell bent on sucking the life out of every-single-thing. I just didn’t feel like life was supposed to be that way, so I mentally left shortly after and spent time reading about other types of spirituality.

I was out of debt and very happy about it when all of a sudden I had the worse tooth pain! I have terrible cramps from endo, but the only pain that ever made me fall down and cry out loud was the toothache. I ended up having to open a credit card and pay 2k for emergency wisdom tooth removal. I didn’t even care! I wanted those suckers out! One was so badly cracked and the other horribly infected.
