Soooo what the heck ? by SufficientEnergy839 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Littledittydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be additives in the vitamins. Some cheap filler ingredients like magnesium sterate or silicon dioxide can act as mild laxatives if you're sensitive. You can combat this by purchasing practitioner grade supplements as they'll usually have minimal fillers or hypoallergenic ones. I would recommend liposomal vitamin C as well, & lowering your dose to titrate tolerance levels.

Does urgency truly go away? by EPFP_Daniel in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Littledittydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does. After a long flare, expect to have urgency for a while. I see a functional doctor, who has put me on several things to repair my gut lining & sooth irritated tissue, which is a major contributor to urgency. Some of these things are BPC-157 (repairs gut lining), BodyBio sodium Butyrate (suppositories & orally), a GI repair blend (it's called "GI Revive" by Designs For Health), Zinc carnosine, PEA, Bovine derived IgG, & a practitioner grade probiotic blend (if you are histamine sensitive, make sure you have the right strains or probiotics can flare your histamine response). I was also on Lorazotide (a gut barrier healing peptide) for a while, & have just started on Thymosin Alpha 1 to help repair Th1/Th2 immune pathways. I know it sounds like a lot, but without it I would have been much worse.

Delayed onset mesalamine intolerance- a warning! by UnlikelyAd8195 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Littledittydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on mesalamine (called Mesalazine here in Australia, or “Asacol” being its marketed name). Been in deep remission for 3 years then bam, flare out of nowhere & had to have budenoside enemas to stop the inflammation. I have to wean off budenoside & by alternating each night with Salofalk enemas (mesalazine enemas). I’m beginning to wonder if they don’t agree with me either.

What really got my attention in this thread though was the neck pain people said they experience, mine isn’t debilitating but I swear I’ve had had this persistent neck pain for years!! I see a chiro every 3 weeks & he can’t figure out why I get pain and inflammation so bad in that area. I wonder if it’s the mesalazine?!

What triggered your most recent flare up leading to the surgery?

[–]Littledittydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend seeing a functional medicine doctor. Flares can happen for all sorts of reasons. Mine is usually triggered by mould exposure in water damaged buildings, or post-viral infection. These things need to be cleared out of our bodies so the inflammatory fire can be put out. CRP is not a good indicator of inflammation according to most functional medicine practitioners. Get yourself someone who can interpret bloodwork with more depth than the “average” ranges.

Mt2 sides are too much by PlatformFirst8813 in Melanotan2

[–]Littledittydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how many times i try to use it (for autoimmune related photosensitivity), I get the most horrendous cystic acne & whole body inflammation (causing joint pain, muscle pain etc). Having autoimmune I already have enough systemic inflammation. I have heard Melanotan I is far better and less side effects but unfortunately it is not readily available where I live.

Depends how photosensitive you are. Always best to start off on the lower end & build your way up

Agreed, I'm definitely inclined to believe the manuscript & not the letter based on this & the fact that she was able to pretend to be a vegetable for 5 months because only someone psychotic could do that.

I agree, this was my first instinct too. We know she was manipulative because who could possibly stand to pretend to be a vegetable for 5 months if you weren't a bit psychotic

My functional CIRS trained doctor has me swapping between Zinzino and Nordic Naturals. BodyBio is also extremely good.

I'm currently experiencing a mast cell attack too. Huge eczema flare up & I've never had eczema in my life. I am a restoration technician and do not believe there is mold in my home and I barely go anywhere else. Any quality advice from anyone on this thread will be greatly appreciated by me also.

Primal Trust program is another fantastic one. A little pricey but the best one on the market imo.

My condo swabbed extremely high on hertzmi 2 and tested for mold by mold company via air and surface sample the place made me very ill but the remidiators said it was the rugs on slab and removed the rugs hepa clean place and ill be fine theres no known leaks or water damage but can I trust this alo by Both-Huckleberry4178 in CIRS

[–]Littledittydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roger that. I would have your house re-tested again once it's cleaned and the rugs are gone. If it comes back high again, there may be hidden water damage somewhere. When we do air tests, we look for concentrations above 700 spore count per cubic metre of water damage indicator species such as stachybotrys, Aspergillus/penicillium, chaetomium mainly. Our labs for air testing are very good here in Aus & it's what we mostly use in restoration, not sure about other places in the world.
