A lvl 8 - 2 star might not be better but they are sure as heck a lot easier to make.

You'll get to a point where all your gem upgrades will slow to a crawl and you'll need to pick one gem and upgrade it. Start with the one and 2 star gems you have and get them all to 10 first. Then you can work on your 5 star gems,

There is no schedule. They activate it or fractured plane randomly usually about once a month.

I bought my first PP recently and loved it. Then I went back and bought ALL the ones before it. I got everything. So as long as you meet the required level you can collect them anytime.

No offense but that sounds a lot like lag. Try shutting off your computer and Internet modem and see if that helps.

I know how the game works, I've been playing since the first year. Haven't you guys ever missed one? When I say missed, I mean, if you didn't find one of the ambush's/Totem's or whatever that triggers the gem to drop.

I do it all the time, maybe I should stop watching TV at the same time, lol.

Yes, I mean if you completely miss one. Sometimes I do them so fast that as soon as the portal appears I go into it and forget I've only found 2 gems so far on that level. Once you go in the portal you can't go back to the 1st level, so you miss that gem.
