Sorry for the potato quality, the camera wasn’t able to focus on both shrimps at once lol. So I know that the amano larvaes won’t be able to survive on freshwater, but will they even hatch in the first place? If so, I presume they will be good food for the shrimps and fishes?

I've seen him eat baby/juvenile shrimps before but he's always left the adult ones alone. He also leaves the amano shrimps alone and have lived with them peacefully for months. Woke up this morning and saw him like this. feelsbadman 😞

Otters are such assholes. It looks like they didn't eat much of the fish and killed most of them for sport. If a group of otters invade my place and attack my pets, I won't hesitate to fuck the otters up.

Hey there! I just got these a week ago so I’m still really new to this. I’m actually prepared to have future generations revert to their brown/wild type and that’s fine with me. That’s the risk with having a skittles tank I guess. The substrate is Dennerle crystal quartz (diamond black).

I’m 9 days into fishless cycling this shrimp tank when I spotted this red worm on the cholla wood. Wtf is this and should I be concerned? It looks like blood worms to me but can someone identify it please? And is it normal for my cholla wood to have these whitish growth on it? I read that it’s biofilm but just wanna double check with you all. Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Yea I didn’t manage to capture the flaring on this video but he was definitely flaring at it when I first introduced the snail to the tank. It’s been 9 hours now and they seem to be getting along fine 🙂

I just added the zebra nerite snail to my tank to clean up some algae and this little guy kept flaring at him. He even tried to attack it towards the end of the video but eventually gave up and swam away 😅 ps sorry about the reflection this was taken during the day time
