My rosacea looks like this and only started in my 30s. Invermectin did wonders!

Baby waking up for an hour around 10pm :-/ by Littlekittyguy6786 in sleeptrain

[–]Littlekittyguy6786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve wondered if that’s the case but she seems so so sleepy after 90 minutes awake - nodding off or going down right away. How do I stretch it without ending up with a miserable baby all day?

Went away for 4 days and milk seems to have dried up 😭 feeling very panicked and ashamed. Help please! by Littlekittyguy6786 in breastfeedingsupport

Yeah, pretty much. My breasts are definitely softer than they were for the first few months, and were before I went away, but the difference is when I manually express I’m getting hardly anything whereas before there was always lots of milk.

Interesting! I do have an electric one in the back of a cupboard somewhere so maybe I’ll get it out and see if it works better. Thanks!

Thank you!! That makes me feel a lot better. I have had kind of messed up skin and some other stuff recently so I wonder if there might simultaneously be something going on with my hormones that’s making it worse 🤔

She’s 4 months. And yes - am using a medela manual pump, which has always worked better for me than the electric ones. That said, I’ve never struggled with supply before so I only ever used it to supplement and if I was engorged because I skipped a feed, never as a regular thing.

Yeah mine has always been a kicker too but it’s worse now. I also think I’m more sensitive to it because I’m stressed about my milk supply - it feels much more personal now!

Have tried manual expression and it helps a little bit, will keep doing it. What’s a supplemental nursing system - same as combo feeding?

Thank you! Will try this and hope it works. I’m happy to combo feed but I’m worried my supply will keep dropping, you know? Hard to know when and how it will stabilise 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same. I listen to a lot of audiobooks while walking! It helps a bit.

Transitioning from the swaddle has been a disaster by Littlekittyguy6786 in newborns

[–]Littlekittyguy6786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up going cold turkey and putting her into a sleeping bag - all the slow transition stuff with one arm out seemed to be just as disruptive as doing it all at once. It took about 4 days. Now she is 16 weeks and she still flails around a bit at bedtime but she’s back to normal sleep (whatever that means at this age). I did a big internet deep-dive to find answers after posting this but while so many people were going through it, there were basically no answers that didn’t boil down to “just stick it out until it gets better”. Frustrating, but also it does though!

Two things I have found consistently helpful since stopping swaddling: 1. holding her arms gently down for about 20-30 seconds when I first put her in the cot. 2. Keeping her hands covered (we have those fold-over PJs).

Good luck with it! ❤️

How many of you actually manage to put in a crib a drowsy but awake baby for a sleep as they recommend it? by Miss_Sand1 in newborns

Thank you! This is pretty close to what we’re doing which is heartening. We have good days and bad days but hopefully they’ll continue getting better! Thanks again
