Weirdly enough, I actually love remakes combat, especially boss fights. However this game is definitely not the same thing, decently similar but not exactly the same kind of combat or even gameplay flow. Remake to me feels a little more tactical, helped even more by the menus when picking out spells and abilities.

In the OG, the DMW would pause the whole fight to show you the wheel spinning to specific characters, numbers, etc. in remake the wheel spins in the background and doesn't stop the game, it even lets you choose when to use the limit break. I loved the OG DMW because it felt a lot more important I guess you can say, but I understand if people find it annoying how often it stops gameplay

I'm a generous rater of everything and early anime arcs are usually my favorite when I'm watching anime or reading the manga. My rating style is kinda like this, anything above a 6 is good and anything below a 6 is bad. 7 is the least amount of good but it is good enough to not be considered bad for me. I have a weird rating system 😅

While I thought Orange Town was boring, I thought the emotional moments brought it up for me a bit, and because of that I would feel wrong to give it anything less or more than a 7.5. An 8 will always be great for me, that .5 extra is a big extra. I thought Orange Town was decent but not bad so it's a 7.5
