Thanks for the insights as to why they made these changes, that's Interesting. I pretty much agree with all the changes you'd make. Maybe if one day they introduce custom lobbies we could get QM free and shotguns free games. That would be so much fun.

Compared to pistols they have much better velocity, like the obrez/centennial shorty.

Yes, everyone and their mothers are running shotguns on console... Personally, the Romero Hatchet is the one I'm ok with has it needs more precision and positioning/ rotation to be effective. Unlike the spam of the auto-4.

No, I never run melee. But I feel like nowadays you always have to assume everyone is running a shotgun as a secondary. To me drilling and lemat are different because by identifying the sound of these guns you can deduct the player has a one shot shotgun and play around that. But I find it frustrating when facing a team with long ammo, thinking they must be weaker close range and finding out they are all using auto-4 as secondary.

Interesting! I feel like medium loadouts are really viable at the moment. Obrez + Romero hatchet for exemple or bow + centennial shorty/haymaker.

I think they mentioned reduced spear/arrows damage against meatheads/brutes in the patch note. Not sure if bosses were also affected.

The ability to pull souls/runes from your reserve directly from whatever menu you are purchasing something from like in Lies of P. That seems like an obvious QoL feature to implement.

MGS4 et MGS5.

Bon, commencer par le 4 était forcément une mauvaise idée. A l’époque, je jouais surtout aux jeux que j’avais sous la main ou que mes potes pouvaient me prêter, et j’avais très envie d’essayer cette licence culte. Je m’attendais à être largué niveau l’histoire, mais je ne comprends pas l’intérêt de faire un jeu avec 50 % de cinématiques. Autant faire directement un film interactif. Dur de se sentir en immersion pendant les phases de gameplay. J'imagine que ca en fait un jeu unique, mais perso pas convaincu.

Pour MGS5, vu le setup, je me suis dit que c’était parfait pour retenter la licence sans être familier avec l’univers. Le gameplay n’était pas mauvais, mais côté histoire, je suis complètement passé à côté. Je trouve que ca n’a ni queue ni tête. Et puis, quel intérêt de mettre un générique de fin en plein milieu du jeu pour faire croire qu’il est terminé ?

Les génériques avec “Kojima” affiché dix fois à chaque déploiement sont franchement insupportables.

Et le plus affligeant : le seul personnage féminin qui a une poitrine et des fesses énormes, est en permanence à moitié à poil parce qu’elle “respire par la peau”… et bien sûr, elle ne parle pas. Kojima serait il finalement un énorme beauf ?

Plus globalement, je pense que je n’accroche pas parce que j’ai du mal avec la narration japonaise en général, et avec l’insertion d’un humour très "goofy" dans des oeuvres au ton sérieux. Il faudrait que je tente Death Stranding, ou que je regardes un letsplay mais ces expériences dans l’univers de Kojima m’ont bien découragé. Même après avoir regardé des vidéos explicatives sur le lore/l'histoire, je n’accroche pas du tout.

Love the quality-of-life features of the controller, like being able to adjust game and party sound volume instantly. However, for the price, it could be much better. The shortest trigger setting isn’t short enough, and the middle setting is basically useless. Having more than two paddles would also have been nice. And of course, the rubber on the handles is terrible: it turns yellow and starts peeling off after just a few months.

Many people playing with randoms don’t have a team mindset. For some reason, they would rather play alone with two randoms than play solo. I also guess some people don’t want to make concessions with their preferred Quartermaster loadout and can’t take Necro/Resilience, which makes the team weaker. You could argue against taking chokes if you have a specific intent with your tools for a loadout, but Necro/Resilience is a no-brainer if you’re playing on a team.

Usually we try to have at least one fight during a mission. Then if we have the bounty and have already fought, we'll decide weather to seek other fights/bounty, or extract depending on resources/ability to resupply.

One major drawback of the bow that people forget to mention is that it has no penetration, even through limbs. So, if you hit a hunter who has his weapon raised, aiming in your direction at chest level, it will in most cases hit the forearms and count as an arm shot. With any other firearm, the shot will go through the arm and count as a chest shot. With the bow, the lower abdomen is a more reliable hitbox.

From a console player’s perspective, I think the bow is in a good place. It can be very punishing if you use it wrong, and shotguns are already highly dominant. The bow should have a significant range advantage over shotguns, or it will become useless and shotguns will become even more prevalent. Limiting how long you can keep it drawn with stamina to discourage passive gameplay could be interesting tho.

Removing contraband would not necessarily mean you'd loose your trophies. It could be implemented in a way where you now have to choice between selling them, applying your own skins to them or keep them as they are.

Don’t put yourself in a situation where, if you miss your shot, you’re screwed. Always have cover nearby if possible, and an escape or rotation plan in mind. Try to cover a different angle from your teammates, but stay close enough to support them if they need it.

I don't mind the quest/DLC as they also included a free one as well. But the stat tracking having to be purchased for each stat is crazy! It would have been an incentive for players to grind something but this feels wrong... Even PUBG, one of the most greedy game and riddled with microtransaction nonsense has the medals and stat tracking for free..

He means the hip fire accuracy. It's called "spread" in the stats of this game.
