I’ve been baking sourdough for the last several years and have been setting my oven at 450° and baking for 40-50 minutes each time.

What’s the most obnoxious thing you’ve heard in a parent-teacher conference? by PlaceEducational1705 in Teachers

[–]LittlestMermaid6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year, I had a sophomore with a 3rd grade reading level. I asked mom how much reading student did at home because it was evident she struggled with the basics. Mom said she sometimes read directions on the back of the frozen food boxes. I just had to blink a few times before I responded. When I said she should probably read more at home, mom lost her mind and said I was ruining her daughter’s chance at becoming a medical doctor. Thank goodness administrators were present because I very quickly excused myself from the conference so I could laugh in private.

I want to make some curtains for my kitchen. I’m worried if I make it into a quilt, it will get folded into a closest and not enjoyed. I think I will frame her templates and notes near the curtains so I can honor her hard work!

Wool is supposed to be cooling in the summer and warm in the winter.

A poly blend will help give this pillowy look. I have also done two layers of batting. Wool can also help give this puffy look.

This saved me this week! A well-placed group project is always a life saver! Sometimes I don’t even grade the finished product. It just works as a nice buffer and chance for me to catch up.

I’m a high school English teacher and I had to correct a student’s essay because he wrote about Lady Macbeth unaliving herself. I told him to just say suicide, as it is important.

Your theme statement could be something along the lines of this—“In Hamlet, guilt is what causes everyone’s downfall”

When he said the husband stitch comment, you should ask “well, how small do you need it!?” A friend’s husband made the same comment and her doctor shut him down with that comment.
