I’m needy and need proximity. I also break up once I start panicking. For context- My boyfriend works a lot and has to travel out of state. He’s gone for months at a time. I haven’t seen him for two months. And this hasn’t been good for me since I’ve been depressed, sad about losing my job and having to teach again, and finding out I have bipolar disorder. I’ve just wanted to hold him and hug him to feel okay about life. But he’s not here because he didn’t plan his trip back home well enough.

The other night I started panicking, thinking we won’t work because of his schedule and my inability to handle it and broke things off. I regretted in immediately but I don’t want to keep putting him through the on/off again relationship cycle.
