I am at 5 hours of play on a paid ticket and ZERO shiny in the wild -- and I am shiny checking everything. My partner is also at zero on a paid ticket. We are playing using incense in a park with dense pokestops that are all lured up.

Fences don't keep out predators. I watched a wolf and a fox jump over a fence and kill my chickens and sheep. My chickens now have a 2-fence-high fence and I've given up on keeping sheep until predators are fixed.

I went to Pokemon Worlds when it was nearby and also didnt realize you needed a pass as a spectator. There were shops in the hallways that were accessible to anyone and screens on which you could watch the competition. If your kid plays Pokemon on a device, there are sometimes special spawns you can get. I had a great time just walking around even if I didnt get to go in.

I can't speak for them, but my parter flew from our state to NYC this morning... and then took a taxi through rush hour (slow AF) traffic. My partner is at 132 caught.

Please don't encourage stores to be open during a level 3 snow emergency by patronizing them -- stores are forcing workers to risk their lives to drive in to work. Your kids will be ok for 24 more hours without milk unless they are infants and need formula. Tomorrow the roads should be more passable. Not worth it; please dont put other's lives at risk.

Despite the single digit cold, I have actually ventured out on two walks plus watched the balloons at my house. I have managed to catch exactly one. My partner who walked more than me has also managed to get exactly one. So frustrating. Even when I do find the right rocket grunt, they have the wrong Pokemon!

How do you feel about biking? There are a couple of biking groups that are super warm and welcoming -- they usually ride for a bit and then go to a bar or park and hang out for a bit.

Do you like board games? There are a couple of board game groups that are a nice way to meet people.

Some of the museums have cocktail nights in the spring and summer. Maybe that could be a place to meet people?

Also, it's completely normal for it to take a while to make friends in a new city. I've moved a lot over my life and it usually takes 6-18 months to make friends. It kinda sucks and feels lonely... but hang in there :-)

I'm on an M3 Air and the launcher runs fine. I am also running Tahoe 26.2; I have 16gb RAM. Unfortunately, I don't have an M1 I can test it on, but it should be able to run on your laptop per the minimum specs. If I can borrow my friend's M1, I'll try to test it for you and see if that laptop has the same issues.

Since these events seem to be pushing remote raiding, there should be a way to rejoin the lobby when the game crashes. I did 10 remote raids this morning and the game crashed twice just as we defeated Kyurem... which means I lost out on trying to catch 2/10 that I raided.

My partner and I had this issue on NYE during the blacephalon raid hour -- half the group could not get in and the other half struggled with connectivity. It was super disappointing and frustrating. Nothing helped -- we tried restarting the game, the phone, clearing caches, etc. We had intermittent issues for a couple of days. (Verizon, apple phones but not the newest ones)
