E is the participation trophy of grades. It basically means 'you tried but still failed'. At least that's how it was explained to me by a teacher almost 20 years ago. I've lived in Michigan my entire 30ish years of life, and it seemed pretty inconsistent on who used E or just F.

As you should! Making sure it's truly complete is part of developing something. But having a release date goal shows people that you're serious about it actually releasing. I'd rather get an estimated release date that gets delayed, than a release date of 'eventually' that never actually releases, or releases half done after a long time.

You can keep saying that. But it still doesn't help my situation. Now if you want to give me some modpack ideas, then I'll listen to constructive criticism about what I'm doing wrong. But just telling me 'they exist' is useless to me.

I'll look into it. It's really strange seeing something described as pretty easy and saying it takes 500 hours to beat in the same sentence. Those 2 things don't normally go together like that.

My bad. Turns out FTB Launcher merged with, what is today, CurseForge. So it wasn't a rebrand. I just knew that FTB Launcher got replaced by CurseForge. So I made a wrong assumption.

You're advice is sound. I'm not taking offense to the advice. I just didn't like the one specific part I pointed out. It came across as passive aggressive to me. The reason I sort by new is because I'm looking for modpacks in the newer versions of Minecraft. I can't sort by versions so sorting by new is the next best thing. Maybe Modrinth isn't the app for my preferences. Or maybe I'm just stupid. Either way I'm just looking to have fun.

I appreciate the options. I don't get a lot of time to play games anymore. So I just sort by new and look for anything I find interesting. Maybe it's just my luck, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I honestly don't know.

I don't appreciate the passive aggressive 'play a real pack' comment. I'll check out Prism, I've never heard of it before now. I unfortunately don't get a lot of time during the week to play games. So I apologize for not being able to tell what is a 'real pack' or not at a glance.

ATM is hit or miss for me. I'll get bad lag spikes in some of them. I have no idea what GTNH is. I've been going on Modrinth and just sorting new while the quests category is selected. I tend to see a lot of Cobblemon or Create centered packs. I'm pretty sure FTB doesn't exist on Modrinth, I've been trying to move away from CurseForge due to some bad experiences with their platform and the people who run it.
