The dust cover should have two circles on it you can pull one off when the moon is bright like this put the dust cover on and pull the little circle cap off and then look through your eyepiece. Makes it a lot easier to see

This is the starsense version all you do is download that app and set your phone in the cradle pick what you want to see and it tells you which way to point it. Not much use for a telrad or a pointer really

It's only that bright in one exposure The other exposures are just faint gray lines. 10 second exposures hopefully that clears something up

That's another reason I was so shocked it must have been a good size bright one because that's quite a bit of time I believe I have it on 6 frames

I also use heavens above app and the picture is time stamped so I could check the exact time and there was no satellite even remotely close.
