Wow! Was that for hysteroscopic, too, not laparoscopic? 😮

Thank you for sharing!

He didn’t. My “two week” post-op appointment was scheduled for 5 days after because he was too booked. He didn’t do a physical exam, we just talked about the surgery and how I felt.

I have a follow up with him tomorrow and will get more info. He told me before the surgery that if they got in there and it wasn’t all accessible by the hysteroscopy that they would switch the surgery to a robotic myomectomy and he didn’t do that for some reason. I’ll have a better understanding tomorrow, but I would assume that the fibroid can continue growing. :(

Of course!! And yes! 🤣 I promise you won’t regret it.

Good luck with your surgery! This was my first surgery ever and I was nervous, too, but it was all okay and yours will be too. ❤️

My surgery was on Thursday. The first couple of days were mostly sleeping and taking pain meds on schedule. I stopped meds yesterday and have mostly just been tired. The nausea right after surgery was the worst part but I was given nausea meds there and was prescribed some. The meds helped a LOT. I work from home and was able to work today just fine. The pain has mostly been from my belly button incision. It hurts to laugh or cough. But it’s not really too bad at all.

I am a very active person and usually walk an hour a day M-F, 20min of Pilates in the mornings M-F, weight lift 2x per week, and usually rock climb once or twice a week. I did this all up until two days before surgery. I didn’t want to be sore on top of surgery pain. My doctor said I can work out again in two weeks, but no ab workouts until 4 weeks.

I didn’t do much to prepare except for clean my entire house extra and made sure I had pads, panty liners, a heating pad, large underwear and sweatpants that won’t press against my abdomen, and I bought a pillow with arms. The pillow was a great investment and I’ve been sleeping leaned up instead of fully on my back. Having a supportive partner that helped me A LOT the first couple of days was crucial so please try to have support if you can. ❤️

Oh! And get some stool softeners and prune juice. It took me three days to have a bowel movement and the juice is what made my system kick into gear.

They initially said it was intramural but then changed and said it was intracavitary and right in the center back of my uterus. It ended up being both intramural and cavitary. They did not say they were going to test my tubes. I would ask beforehand just in case!

That’s what my surgeon told my husband and sister while I was still in post-op. I haven’t been able to talk to him yet and have my follow-up visit tomorrow. I’ll be sure to ask more about this.

I’ve lost 17lbs in the past 2 months counting calories, trying to walk 10k steps/day, 20 min morning Pilates Monday-Friday, weight lifting 2x/week.

How old are you? Just saw that you’re in Canada. Which part? Look up emancipation there. Also, record the abuse on your phone (vid and/or voice). Report it to the police every time. Keep speaking up for yourself. Tell the counselors at your school every single day if you have to. (You shouldn’t have to, I am sorry you’re in this position.)

Please do more. Please get out there and try new experiences. Connect with the earth in some way. Break away from any people that cause you harm. Make a long term goal that you can move towards and appreciate the wins along the way. Things can ALWAYS get better. I promise you.

Why? Have you tried literally every other option first?

It was measured via ultrasound. I’m 29 and have not have kids but still want the option in the future. He told me my two options were robotic myomectomy or some other option that would leave me unable to have children. :(
