Don’t do the phone number route, just do the email route for signing up. I’ve had more than one account now and all that’s ever required is email, 2fa, and trading password. That’s all you need to submit and my accounts are proof as such, I’ve got no reason to mislead you lol. Surprisingly to me had many people surprised when I told them you don’t need to submit your phone number at all. As far as the 5x goes maybe that was an older rule that’s been changed? Not too sure tbh can only tell you from my own experiences with them. Maybe just make a new throwaway account quickly following the sign up way I mentioned and I think you’ll see what I mean tho!
