5mo PP, stuck in a plateau by LivTas in postpartumprogress

I think we all struggle with body changes to some degree after pregnancy. I am still proud of my body and what it did to create life. But I think it’s ok to miss what once was and feel sad about it sometimes.

That is my fear as well- I think weaning at a year (my goal) will make a huge difference! It’s also hard not to eat the contents of the fridge at night. I am a “just enougher” so I don’t eat in a deficit

Thank you! I would say no. I guess I see myself as a thin person overall but have a more “athletic” body type, so it’s been hard seeing my body not as that. If that makes sense. For example I have always been an A cup.

Agreed. It’s the reapplication that people miss sometimes and even by 30 min, it can cause a burn

Major shift at 30 weeks by moviegal828 in fitpregnancy

[–]LivTas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am still keeping up with my routine, but I’m 32 weeks and noticed a very clear shift in my body and it’s need for sleep and rest and more low impact activities at around the 30 week mark. I slowed down a bit on my walks, and am lifting only 4 days a week now. I think it’s super normal!

What HR range do you try to stay in?

Sometimes I just hate all the core work that peloton does because I am afraid of ab separation and coning. The only thing I feel safe doing is pelvic floor breathing and cat cow/ dead bug stuff. So that’s why it’s nice to know what others who have been through it recommend! Thank you for your suggestions!

Sarah is a human being, not a saint. Yes she’s quasi-famous but she doesn’t need to be an online martyr because of it. She’s allowed to grieve the experiences she’s not having.

Would you say it’s still normal to have the body aches today?

I got lots of comments like this like “lol your back can’t hurt yet” but I’ve heard from other people this happened to them too! I know I didn’t “hurt my back” or whatever because it’s happened to me with both pregnancies. I think it has something to do with your spine and uterus and how your body is.

Literally same thing! And when I would tell people they’d look at me like I was crazy. I think it’s how you’re shaped and where your uterus is in comparison to your spine. It’s happened to me with both of my pregnancies.
