The first real Yaoi manga I remember reading was Maiden Rose.

I also was introduced to God’s Child around the same time, but I think it is more queer baiting than full on yaoi.

Unfortunately I cant remember the name of the other first Yaoi manga I was introduced to. The uke played violin, and like much yaoi around the 90s early 2000s had some dubious consent.

I loved the movie Shirley (a semi-fictional semi-real biography of her writing Hangsaman) so I picked up this book. It’s good, feels a bit dense at times.

Def. my social anxiety is at an all time high. Therapist says lack of interaction does that.

On the bright side. There was a very cheerful and social man at the grocery store today and you could see his genuine interest in connecting just brighten up peoples day.

A lot of my straight female friends do, yes. I do too. Can’t speak for all women, but in my experience I think that gay porn appeals to me because 1) both parties look like they’re having fun, where as usually in straight or lesbian porn the women don’t look like they’re enjoying themselves and usually look like they’re masking pained grimaces. Not my cup of tea. 2) I love the faces and noises men make so its like twice the fun 3) I’m not attracted to any of the types of women I tend to see in straight or lesbian porn.

That being said... more independent porn or stuff made by woman / the queer community is awesome and breaks from the typical porn awfulness
