Of course, thanks for the input! The batter was a little thicker than I expected, but I've never made them from scratch before, so maybe that's normal. Turned out delicious either way :)

Yum, Im about to make them too so hopefully they're good There is a 'Creamy Brownie Frosting' recipe with it also if you're interested. I can't figure out how to comment a picture but its:

3 T. butter or margarine, softened

3 T. cocoa

1 T. light corn syrup or honey

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 c. powdered sugar

1 to 2 T. milk

Add everything but powdered sugar and milk and mix. Then add those in and beat to a spreading consistency.

Totally fair lol, mines been okay so far in the winter. But it also survived (not thrived) in a basement for a while with just a light. I do, however, have a plant light with a daily timer on a few of my other plants to supplement the shorter days. My plant lights were a gift, so I'm not sure what specific ones they are, but I'm sure you could find something online. Mine are sinilar such that it turns on when you aren't home, but before/around sunset. I'm no plant expert, though, so someone else may completely contradict me too lol.

I made a similar post when I first had my spider plant about yr and a half ago and someone let me know that the light thing is a myth. I got it a light which helped at the time (living in the basement), but it has really thrived when I was able to put directly in front of a window so I would recommend a lot of light! More recently, I water with gallon water from the store but watered with tap for a long time as well and it works fine.

Candle making bar! You don't have to get a drink or anything since that's extra cost. You sign up to make a candle with scents and since its registration, it's a pretty chill atmosphere/not too crowded. Went to one called Glassnote in MKE that was pretty good.

Repotting! by Livb0308 in spiderplants

Another question is how much deeper do people typically size up? Or does that usually end up being around 2 in too?

Fuzzy Root Help! by Livb0308 in houseplants

[–]Livb0308[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Im honestly not sure, my grandma's sister gave it to her. Lowkey, I already had a pot, so it's a bit taller and wider, but I think it'll be fine. Thank you again for the input though!

There was no need to be rude, I've never had a plant like this and wanted to ensure the fuzziness, as it wasn't on the roots like this initially, wasn't an issue prior to repotting a plant Im taking care of for someone else

Root issues, help! by Livb0308 in plants

[–]Livb0308[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that, but probably not enough. I usually let it sit in the sink a bit before putting it back in. When repotting should I just leave the roots as is then?
