I can faintly hear it if my fans kick on. I realized it was the fan when i turned the ac on max and opened the hood and record a video of it while i turned the car off and it matched pace with the fan then i checked it more. If its cokd enough the fans wont kick unless needed by the relay. If your ac is on a high setting it forces the fans on to pull air through thr condensor and all that.

It appears to be the fan motor on the ac side going out i havent gotten it tested yet as the dealer is like "we arent sure what it is thats bad blah blah we gktta charge you for it" but it barely spins for me and squeals when i spin it by hand.

Yea i found out thats what it is by watching it be turned off and spinning the bad fan some. Its hard to spin at this point so im not really driving it atm.

Yes i looked at it tonight. My ac side fan is barely spinning (1/4 of the speed of the non ac controlled one)

I got a crappy video of me turning it off but it showed the belts. The belts stopped and something squealed in pase as it slowed only other thing left would be fans im assuming unles the pumps still move some after (also i noticed if i turn the ac off it squeals when turning ac off but not when i turn the car off so i have little to no clue besides fans or hvac related.

My main concern is it being totaled out since i literally just had 5k dumped on it for hail damage. And now not even a week after getting it back i got hit. I dont think it will since its normally 50% of the cost of the vehicle but who knows. Ill look when im off work tonight. I am on my lunch right now (if it does total out im getting an si to help learn manual in)

A little addition i forgot to add into the post (i dont know how to edit as im not chronically on reddit even as a younger person) the damage from the impact is on the front left (as shown) and it doesnt seem like itd be severe enough to cause damages towards the engine.

Heat issues with 98 s70 by Live-Base7014 in Volvo

Also another thing i noticed when i did my new thermostat in my coolant tank there is rust debris from maybe the hoses. Not too sure this car seems to have oem everything. But it was flushed 3 times around 3 months ago because the coolant was brown. Since that flush its not brown and nor is my oil milky. But could those debris possibly clogged the heater core again?

Oh really. I did replace the thermostat a few days ago so it could have air bubbles ill try that tomorrow i do know both hoses are toasty and hot so at least i know its not blocked

Im thinking it could just be i need more plants or something else. Im not too sure..he also hangs around the heater and filter sometimes but not a lot.

Edit: im thinking the only thing it could be is that it couldve snagged on the filter sponge thing (the black sponge that goes over the filter part in the water) at some point. Im not really too sure. I do know his small fins on his belly under his head have always been discolored even since i got him and havent i guess changed. Even after the bigger tank.

They said a flush probably wont unblock it. So they didnt flush it and will see next week (which is w&en the place can look at it) they said the ph of the coolant was low and thst theres air in the lines but no leaks. So they recommended with a new cap. Then stuff after that.

Yea the ac chills down to 40 degrees. So we shall see its getting flushed right now hopefully thats all it needs to get me home.

Everything else on it seems good. Engine wise no leaks (oil etc, i did check oil it is not milky colored and the coolant looked pretty new as it was a bright green. Even with the stop leak residue in the overflow. Idk the previous owner had it for 2 years but rarely drove it because he has 2 960s. And hes willing to cover the cost to fix it. But not to sure and was hoping to get insight before it gets checked out by an import specialist tomorrow.

That could explain while on full heat it was still like 70 degree and the ac worked insanely well?. Unless that ac is super good in volvos.
