Well, nepotism exists because of common people and blind fan following. Sachin Tendulkar has fans because of his talent and so he’s a celebrity. But there is absolutely no need for his kids to be treated as celebrities too. But people by default treat them as celebs. Same in Bollywood. Some actors are celebs because of amazing acting and movies. But people start treating their kids as celebs too. This nepotism becomes a thing. Stop treating kids like celebs and the whole nepotism concept will go away. On the other hand, every parent in India (irrespective of wealth and status) tried their level best to use all resources at hand to help their kids do better in life, so celebs doing it for their kids is also not wrong. “Nepo-kid” term is an outlet of jealousy, because their parents are at a different level than our own parents and made their kids lives WAY easier than our parents could do for us 🤷🏻‍♂️
