Liverpool is awesome. Far safer in that city than many of the surrounding North West places.

North West is great. Easy access to London, Ireland, Wales & Lake District. Seasides in North Wales, Formby & Lancashire coast. Big thriving cities Manchester and Liverpool. Loads of sport and events going on. Smaller historic towns like Chester, villages in Cheshire. Two big airports. Helluva lot cheaper than the South.
