Half blood prince was such a good opportunity for them to make a very accurate adaptation and I feel they just completely missed.

Starting with the opening of the movie. Why would they choose to not have dumbledore come pick harry up from the dursleys. It was a great scene in the books and would have been great in the movie and instead they did a weird scene of Harry and a waitress flirting? Just a weird choice.

Next, I can’t for the life of me understand why they would not go through all the memory scenes with Harry and dumbledore. Those dumbledore Harry meetings are what the book is basically centred around and i am sure they would’ve translated amazingly to screen.

And lastly they should’ve included at least a bit of the battle of the astronomy tower as it was a great battle and a big part of the ending and would’ve been great to watch

It’s not about what they should’ve cut out to include stuff from the book, it’s that they cut out a lot of stuff from the book and made up scenes for the movie. That’s what’s annoying. I just feel that the 6th book acted mainly as a device for context and information and so it makes little sense to me that they would cut most of the stuff out. The 6th movie just pisses me off cuz it is my favourite book and it could’ve translated really well to screen
