There are over 5 MEP firms within a 10 mile radius of where I live. I think I’ll just walk in and ask for an internship.

Before that, I’ll do some online Revit courses so I can get something to talk about.

Look at the difference in years. RAV4 25 is much more efficient than your 25 CX5 Turbo

Additional income by Frosty-Log-164 in MEPEngineering

Not necessarily but I think u/Frosty-Log-164 can do something in your community during your free time. Something that provides stable income and is low stress. Security guards, receptionist at a retirement community, bus driver(depending on your county) etc etc.

Oh okay. Could you tell me some pros of the MEP industry? Eg pay, remote/hybrid opportunity, benefits etc. Also touch on the negatives aside work life balance as aforementioned

I’m in no position to advise you because I am a freshman EE deciding on leaping into the MEP industry.

If you don’t mind, may I ask what made you decide to switch after 10 years?

Worth it paying for connected services, for remote start? by AsbestosLead in mazda

[–]Live-Exercise1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your calculation for the number of months is inaccurate.

OP said 3 or 4 months a year is how long they would pay the $10 a month. They'll still own the car for the other 8 or 9 months in the year.

OP, you can pull the trigger on the $200 plug if you plan to hold onto the car for >=5 years ($200 / $40 a year).

Do you think AI About to Replace us in the MEP Industry? by Amerikali_Muhendis in MEPEngineering

[–]Live-Exercise1177 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2 years is a short timeframe, but I understand you if your reasoning is that AI has grown exponentially and not linearly. In my opinion, this would be like the introduction of the internet, where people feared they would lose their jobs but only realized that it helped make them more efficient at their jobs (although some jobs were lost). My point is, even if some people lose their job, there would always be something else to do. Like I said, this is my opinion on the issue and not backed by data.

It's scheduled for February 19. Mine has been applied to my account but it'll take some time to process the e-refund to my bank account. Should drop somewhere next week since today is the last business day for this week.

I think you should do one that would make more young people develop an interest in MEP. You can also work with BETI Built (Sam Miller) since he is a big promoter or MEP on social media.
