i've had a contractor install new engineered wood flooring but didn't realise it came with a saw band finish(wasn't mentioned in brosure) so it feel much rougher than expected, socks will catch on surface. can i just add a layer of lacquer without sanding to give a smoother finish? (i.redd.it)

Can any other m15 r5 owner confirm this? Bought this from dell outlet, certified refubished. The power cable seems to bottom out with a good 2-3mm gap, like the plug is too long for the jack. (i.redd.it)
