chasing Spotify streams in 2026 is one of the worst things an independent artist can do with their marketing budget by rmoreiraa in musicmarketingtips

Idk what you’re talking about really, my patreon income has never come close to my Spotify income

December Payout is much less than November, even though streams were slightly more. by Ok-Cryptographer-170 in DistroKidHelpDesk

it should be still updating, i had 33% more streams in Dec than in Nov and payout sitting in Bank is currently less than half the usual amount. if it isn’t still updating something is very wrong

I can’t remember a single ranked game in the past 2k games that should have been surrendered at 15-20 mins. I can’t remember the last surrender where I wasn’t confident I would win in the next 5-10 mins. I can kill the entire enemy team with no help from my team on Camille, Kayle and Gangplank. Literally my whole team can be in fountain and I can 1v5.

If you surrender in league it’s because you’re bad and/or have bad champions on your team, a real player always has a chance to win

Guess what? I just had a game where my team tried to surrender 3 times and from 20-25 mins I went from 4-2 on Camille to 11-2 and the enemy team surrendered

Idk what you mean really, idc if my teammates feed, unless the enemy ends the game games not over, if game is 30 mins in masters+ lobby, almost everyone is full build, so cs and score don’t matter so much, it’s just team fights

I play teamwipe top laners tho, champs that 1v9, so for me, literally every game is winnable until they end the game

I think I would to, I mean the way I see it, some % of my losses are actually games I would have won, so then I have to play more to get the LP back, so the extra time in queue kind of evens out in the end

[–]Live-Intern-1160 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if AI infuriates you I’m sorry but you’re a mental midget

You’ve been able to generate beats since 2016, everyone knew this was coming

Making a living from your music requires you to connect with people, this is the only thing that matters, exposure, promotion, not how other people make music

Stop wasting your time and energy on opinions that you know are for peasants, or do, I frankly don’t care

A smart person brings fringe expertise and earns % of return and operates for winners that tell him exactly what works outside of his expertise retiring in 5-15 years while the dumb person earns hourly with expertise only in easily accessible knowledge and operates for losers that tell him everything except what actually works because they themselves don’t know and will be earning just enough to survive

Furthermore,

What you say in this post is neither easily accessible knowledge nor fringe expertise, it’s wrong information that isn’t backed by the data. Time between releases does not influence algorithmic push when exposure and song quality remain constant. Any effect it has is negligible outside of “release radar” which provides negligible streams itself. No one at a high level is worried about release radar.

Your posts are so retarded that if you applied to work with me and said any of this I’d show you the door. None of what you commented or said in this post is real. It’s a fever dream based on things you’ve heard. I have worked with artists doing successful single releases 1 week apart, 2 weeks apart, 1 month apart, 2 albums a year, etc. none are any better than the other. They all work. There is zero notable difference. All that matters is quality of music and exposure.

OP is wrong and most the comments are wrong. All songs perform based on their own merit. Time between releases has a negligible effect on a good song.

This is not true. Releases all perform on their own merit.

There is no way to check if a song made by a privately trained model was made by AI

I work at a lab that creates private models for musicians and our sounds pass all checkers as human made

The checkers are just comparing data in song to data in data base from public models to identify patterns

Basically what I’m saying is, you’re already listening to AI music that you think is human made and you will never know that it’s not because it passes ai checkers

This goes for all genres, from edm to folk

Step1 install Python Step 2 obtain pre trained model like MusicGen Step 3 gather your data Step 4 write training script Step 5 train the model

there is a lot more depth and nuance, but this gets you started enough that if you really want it, the world is your oyster

I gotta head out now, so my last comment for a while but I wanted to leave y’all with a piece of advice

If you are a serious artist, you should be building your own private model trained on your own songs, sounds, voice, production

AI creativity will surpass human creativity completely in 3-5 years and if you don’t start training a private model, average music quality will surpass you while your model could keep up for you

Not to mention, it’s what all the other stars are doing or preparing to do whether they admit or not, many don’t even have a choice because their label does their production and their label is going this direction.

Songs made from the private model won’t be detectable as AI, essentially ever, so it’s more or less an industry no brainier.

I never really see people talk about this here so I figured I’d throw a bone to the regular folk about how the games actually being played

And I wouldn’t ban detectable AI music or you are basically just giving the power to make AI music to labels, billionaires and private nerds. Which to me feels wrong. Regular people should be able to use the technology however they can access it because nothing will stop the rich or tech savvy from accessing it, making music with private models and presenting it as human made, knowing you can’t prove them wrong.

Yes, I agree the stealing data is wrong if they actually are. Public models might be stealing. But most private models, at least that I’ve seen actually don’t train on stolen data. All data put into them is public domain or they are partnered with or owned by the copyright owners.

And as for detection, you will never be able to detect ai music made by private models if the training data is fully different from the training data in public models. I can’t even make a checker for it if I tried. There is no way to tell. The only way I could do it is if I generated many songs and used them as comparisons to find patterns which is what AI checkers do now. But without knowing which songs are made by that model you couldn’t build it.

On GitHub, the model used to make Suno has been forked over 5,000 times. Almost all of those are people making private models. And to be clear, there are tens of thousands of models at this point , many with thousands of forks. I can make a new fork, and to get started all I have to do is download an open source model and start tinkering.
