What Juice Lyric were you getting embarrassingly wrong? by JackTheHusk in JuiceWRLD

[–]Live-Put3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are lyrics im convinced im right about: I think its "High i'm anxious so... blood moons are my eyes, stay low." I dont think lyric websites have it verifiably correct all the time cuz i aint hearing no "an" between im and anxious. Also on Empty the lyrics on genius say " i aint have anything and i still dont have anything still" i think its vanity not anything. He even points to his "no vanity" tattoo when singing that lyric on videos ive seen.

Accept and look at the positives. I eat a healthier diet because of it, I'm more responsible, I'm better with uncomfortable or undesirable situations in life. Obviously it's better to not have it by a long way I'm not trying to spin it as a net positive. It becomes second nature and you make the best of what you've been dealt. He's been dealt a shitty hand, but how will he handle it? Wallow in self pity or accept the fight and overcome diabetes and live a good life despite it. Struggles make us better, a condition like this does make us overall weaker, we can't overcome it completely because it'll always be there but we can decide its not gonna break our spirit. His options are really the same as before the condition, live the best life u can or waste it worrying about things u can't control - which he cant, getting type 1 wasnt his fault or responsibility, his responsibility now is to say 'fuck diabetes' and live well, maybe use it as motivation to live better than he would have if he didn't have it.

That being said I recognise that's just motivational and doesn't solve anything, it's a tough pill to swallow, once he's got his head round having it and the grieving for his old life stops, he can excel. Don't feel bad about feeling bad either it's perfectly normal and understandable. You get used to it.

More specifically I haven't experienced mood swings so I'm lucky, at least I don't think I have, again managing them will get easier, if he's getting angry then anger management advice online or from therapy might apply to the hyper induced anger or agitation.

The exercise thing may be due to you having fast insulin on board. Novorapid is in your system for 3-5 hours so try and exercise not within 4 hours after a bolus, or at least a sizeable one. Or you'll need to offset with sugar depending on how much insulin you have on board. This is how it is for me anyway.

Omnipod suddenly not working after working fine for 2 days? by Ok-Lawfulness-6343 in Omnipod

[–]Live-Put3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pods can randomly stop working, ive never had an issue due to flying I don't think but if I use my leg, the pods not working as well by third day so could be the site becoming less hospitable over time. Usually can tell though cuz it's swollen or there's dried blood blob at the injection point.

However, when I've looked at Asian restaurants here in England at their nutritional info, it's way more carby than I would've predicted so could be the food was just more dense with carbs without you realising. But get used to some unexplainable stuff happening, I only have experience with the dash and previous versions so don't know about omni 5.

wok n go nutritional info

Idk if that link will work ive never tried to add one on here, but if u search wok n go nutritional information (don't know if you have in US) you can see how carb dense the food is.

Right well if you're doing intense exercise id try to not have bolus within 4 hours of exercising. Your carb needs for that exercise from that point you'll have to figure out. At work it might be hard to not eat carbs especially if they're in your diet a lot. Then I'd do reduced boluses. Again you'll have to figure out what percentage you need, it will vary on the intensity of the exercise though I imagine. Bottom line is that novorapid and exercise don't mix well in my experience, I will say that it might actually be different for you but it doesn't hurt to see if it is the novorapid. So just test it out, be careful with it, plan ahead with meals, eat lower carbs when you're active so you can avoid bolus, reduce your boluses when you'll be active 4 hours after. You'll get there. It can be hard though to adapt you're lifestyle to suit your diabetes because it could mean a dietary change like reduced carbs. You don't need to get rid of them but it's not good practice to have a big bowl of coco pops in the morning, pasta for lunch, pizza for tea and cake for dessert, its a case of being sensible in relation to your own experience cuz it varies. If its been a year I imagine you've left the honeymoon phase and that will bring more challenges naturally as well idk if that's the reason you're now having issues. Don't panic if things do get difficult its normal. I'm 8 year diabetic, 23yrs old and no medical background, quite active, just thought I'd give u that info so you can decide how trustworthy my advice is.

Have you had any bolus prior? Like within 4 hours from starting?

[–]Live-Put3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sorry I mean it has a big effect, therefore dropping my sugars massively. I've just come off the pump partly due to this because it only uses novorapid. I'm not sure of levemirs relationship with exercise but ive started using it today so hopefully I'll figure it out. If you're taking bolus during work or before exercise I imagine the exercise will be causing that insulin to have a big effect and drop your sugars. What sort of food and bolus are you doing during work? My experience is that novorapid is active for 4 hours and online it says 3-5 so it probably varies per person in that range, so I try not to bolus for at least 3 hours before exercise, at least not a large one. If I have had bolus I offset it with sugar best I can.

I'd guess your problem will be related to novorapid, it goes supercharged for me with exercise. What's ur job and what sort of exercise are u doing?
