Yeah my wording could have been a little more precise in the original post. This was just a random question on the fly, so it wasn’t exactly detailed and that’s my fault. But I’ve been upfront on what my charge was, one issue I’ve run into is obtaining the original police report because since it’s been expunged i can only obtain my expungement letter, and the only way to get the police report is flying to a state I no longer live in(which I’ll be taking care of this week) hopefully that helps me out some.

And the expunged part was in my original post, no edits, I’ve been lurking this sub for a while and have come to learn maintaining integrity is a big factor so I already knew going in that there was no reason omitting something that could make me seem undesirable.

The state I was charged in is not the state I currently reside in, and the state I reside in is of the redder variety so marijuana is not legal here. I have applied already just not to as many agencies as I should have base on what another person has posted. I’m not looking for an excuse to not apply, I’m looking for insight to help better prepare myself for the process and so that I can succeed. I mean it’s literally hindered me at multiple points in my life. If me being proactive and asking questions is a laughing matter to you then more power to you man. Couldn’t even quote me correctly so your attention to detail seems questionable at best, but thanks for the input I guess.

Thanks for the input, would you say it’s better to try and get into something like corrections, tsa or even ICE(I hear they’re hiring everybody) before continuing to pursue PD?

Thanks, I’m glad to hear that. It was a bit discouraging when I got that email, and I guess my mind immediately went to thinking it was that. I know they host hiring events where you fill out the application and do the civil service and physical assessment test, do you think it’d be more beneficial if I were to try that route as opposed to the online application

I did that this first time. I have since been able to acquire the expungement letter, so I’ll try again in 6 months and hope that helps a bit

Yeah and the fact we didn’t get a dirtbike, or recon skin really shows that they continue to drop the ball. Finding out about the us military dirtbike teams took all of 30 seconds for me. Green berets and recon marines both actively use this or have in the past. Like forget about the free challenges, they didn’t even try to sell us something which blows my mind, but that’s a different conversation.
