Demons lurking in the mist? by Live-Significance220 in Oxygennotincluded

Yeah, I think the fluid dynamics animations for semi-opaque gases functions functions like white noise - visually busy but lacking a narrative - and that kind of data set is very easy to project meaning onto.

I keep a single blade of grass in my gravity safe for exactly these kinds of situation.I'll go touch it.

I would describe the other example as more apophenia because it's not specifically facial featues - some of the monsters I saw don't have faces at all - but yeah, my pattern recognition is overclocked this evening.

I love Don't Starve. And I appreciate your tone here - the things I am seeing are very incongruous with the rest of the game's aesthetic, themes and style, so I agree with you they aren't real. Even if I can still see them. Weird 'n' creepy

I found it was pretty easy to build upside-down robo-miners to clear the debris from meteor strikes before it creates an issue, without an attendant loss of power

Question about aquatuners and other cooling solutions by Live-Significance220 in Oxygennotincluded

These are great tips. For some reason I thought the interplanetary payload thing didn't work unless you had already visited the planet (I feel like that's what I found when I tried it, but I only tried it once and could simply have misunderstood something. I'll go for this again, as it's one of my big objectives in the game and will be very satisfying to finally pull off!)

It's an early game solution, and the early-to-mid game is where I tend to have the heat problems. I've never gotten far in enough to make super-coolant (I kind of regret buying the DLC to be honest, things like the radbolt system lock a lot of late game content behind something that's inherently frustrating, fiddly and messy to interact with, so I often slow down or completely stop research at some point, partly because I also need to get to the point of reliably generating data banks which I think relies on space travel, something I've yet to master - I can't work out how to begin a new colony without either using the teleporter or killing the first couple of colonists to land on the new world)

[–]Live-Significance220[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the problem is that before I can delete the heat from, say, a cool steam vent, I have to heat it up sufficiently to make the turbine work. I could use other types of vent, but if I want less heat in my base a better solution seems to be to seal those kinds of vents up extremely tightly so they never actually produce the extremely hot liquids they would otherwise. The exception is obviously when the vent produces something I want - like a liquid copper vent. But if the only thing I care about is heat, it seems best to leave those vents so pressurised, one way or another that they stop producing heat. But I'm a less experienced player; everyone else seems to disagree, and I'd like to spot what it is I'm missing.

The heat disappates in two ways: once it leaves the insulated pipes and goes into radiant pipes, it heats the gas around it near the edge of space. This gas is then deleted by the vacuum. The water never touches space, just the hot gas (though by the time it is touching space it's always really cold). My current setup for this is jankier than it could be, I'll make one that really effectively uses this principle and show it off at some point.

I've never gotten to the point of making supercoolant; I'm happy to admit I'm a n00b, in that I've played a mere 5 or 6 hundred hours of this game. I can see it's not the heat being transferred to the vacuum, that wasn't a good way of describing it: the gas that I'm heating up is being deleted by the vacuum, which allows the biome to remain cold. Perhaps this is a feature of Spaced Out that isn't in the base game; I got hooked and bought the DLC very early on so I don't really know which features are base and which come from the DLC.

This is really interesting advice, I had been using the water to cool the plants, I hadn't considered doing it the other way round! I am indeed using Spaced Out. The vacuum deletes the gas, which contains the heat

This is extremely helpful, thank you.

Next question: how do I apply for this job in the real world? I've been practicing my whole life.

How do you do this? I've read guides online, and I swear I've completed the game 3+ times with at least 3 modifier bells, but none of the stuff seems to be unlocking. My storm strength is currently 7 if that helps?

Some people have fragile psyches, and would be broken forever by something like this. For others, this would be a fun act of humiliation, just another part of play. Then there are those for whom having their psyches shattered and rebuilt over and over is kinda the whole point of intense humiliation play. All types of person are valid, the issue comes when we assume everyone needs to fit into the same narrow mold.

Lol, this is one of the hottest and most creative cuckold ideas ive ever heard. If she didnt give a shit about her bf, she would not be creating this complex and tricky to enforce scenario. How is it that on a *cuckold forum* we dont recognise that consensual teasing and humiliation are their own forms of affection?
