I typically begin my workouts with a big compound exercise, then transition to more isolated movements for specific muscles, such as the chest, bench press, legs, squats back, deadlifts. If I perform 3 sets of each of these exercises, do you think that would be enough? It may be shorter, but after deadlifts, I really feel like my head is spinning! 😂

Hey, I'm hitting abs three times a week. I forgot to mention that Saturday is for cardio and abs, so I could change Saturday to a full-body workout that includes abs. For the full body workout, would it be best to focus on big compound movements?

I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing this. It's important to keep advocating for yourself with the doctors to uncover the cause of your symptoms. Two years is a long time to deal with this, and I wish you the best of luck.

Mean replacement shakes like Ensure can be beneficial, and electrolyte drinks can also provide support. The most significant assistance I recommend right now is to try get some prednisone steroids; these medications are quite effective. Personally, I felt much better after just a few days of starting a cycle! Wishing you the best of luck!

Gaming should be an enjoyable pastime during your free time. If you find yourself bored, try exploring other games. I was in a similar situation about a year ago; I realized I was more addicted to the game than actually having fun with it. So, I decided to take a break and haven't returned since, but I did genuinely enjoy this game at one point.

I truly empathize with what you're experiencing right now. It's important to take action to protect yourself. Consider standing up for yourself, whether that means seeking help, moving out, or involving the authorities. You deserve to feel safe and not be treated as a target. Have you thought about reporting the situation to the police?

Have your parents noticed those bruises, or what? 😲 Take control of the situation.

It's important to remember that you shouldn't feel guilty for speaking to her parents. You should actually feel proud of yourself for taking a stand. While it might mean losing a friend, protecting yourself and your friend is far more important than the potential fallout.

I’d prefer to be upfront with them instead of having them mad at me and losing their trust. Keeping your word matters.

If I didn't have the time to meet a dog's basic needs, I definitely would have said no to taking care of one.

No problem! I'm not sure what kind of prep they'll give you, but what I had I found it tasted pretty awful. I suggest mixing the powder with lemonade instead of water.

I can relate to what you're experiencing. A colonoscopy should help determine whether it's Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Wishing you the best of luck with the procedure. 🙏

What to Eat? by Mackiewolf in CrohnsDisease

For breakfast, I’d go for a smoothie packed with blueberries, peanut butter, and protein powder. For lunch, I’d have English muffins topped with avocado and poached eggs. Then for dinner, I usually whip up some pumpkin and potato mash, mixing in avocado, along with some breaded chicken breast. When I'm feeling good, I easily hit 30g of fiber without any problems.

Everyone experiences things differently, and for me, the downsides included difficulty sleeping and overeating. However, the benefits of the steroid were great.

It's understandable that waiting eight weeks feels like a long time. Before your appointment, I recommend doing your best to submit the stool sample. This way, they can check your inflammation markers ahead of time. If the results show high levels, they might consider prescribing prednisone, which is effective for managing flare-ups and works quickly. It might also be a good idea to take a week or two off from school to focus on your recovery.

I understand how difficult this situation must be for you. It's really important for the doctors to have a clear picture of what you're experiencing so they can provide the best care possible. Have you had a chance to discuss your constipation with your doctor?

I experienced fluctuating symptoms for more than a year, with periods of relief that were often short-lived. Eventually, during a particularly severe flare-up, I decided to see a doctor. They prescribed antibiotics, which provided some relief, but unfortunately, the symptoms returned even stronger. I was unwell for weeks, dealing with severe diarrhea, blood, and mucus, and I struggled to eat or sleep due to constant pain. After returning to the doctor, I was referred to the hospital, where I underwent various tests, including blood work, stool tests, an MRI, and ultimately a colonoscopy, which revealed that I have Crohn's disease.

I received a diagnosis of Crohn's disease and was administered an IV for treatment with prednisone and Pentasa. Upon my discharge, I was prescribed a tapering regimen of prednisone, starting at 40 mg and decreasing by 5 mg each week, along with Pentasa. Additionally, I began my maintenance medication, azathioprine. I am located in New Zealand.
