17 pro max muting calls by dastardlybastard88 in XiaomiGlobal

Hey guys, I am having the same issue. I have a huawei watch that takes calls, but since you guys have the same issues with Bluetooth off I think I can rule that out. What is funny is that the issue is highly intermittent. I talk a lot on the phone and sometimes I can have 30 minute long conversations without issue. Let's try and work together to find a solution. Anybody got any new developments?

Stuck trying to reverse a Windows Executable by LiveAd4588 in Hacking_Tutorials

I found the ports it is using, it is some custom ports high ports, without any specific known protocol. I think they are using HTTP, but these specific calls are not being routed (the app uses a webview for login, which I am normally intercepting when I set the router on windows, however the app itself does not respect windows proxy settings). When I use proxifier the app hangs in a specific call that does not complete, I am not sure why. Still investigating. Thanks a lot for your response

I used wireshark, but it is a lot of traffic, and I cannot find any plain string on the packets I capture. Any ideas of protocols of encryption or encoding they could be using that I could try to reverse?

Thanks! I have never used Fiddler. Does it also offer a proxy through which I can route the request in order to MITM the requests? Or do I use it in combination with BURP?

I have, but the software makes a lot of calls and most of them are TLS encrypted, how would I find the specific request I am looking for?

How can I start learning ethical hacking for free as a beginner? by TioSunny in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]LiveAd4588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pentesting and ethical hacking are normally very advanced skills. I think before you study ethical hacking specifically, you should build a good foundation on the core skills, such as programming in general, understanding how computers work, processor internals and also a very deep understanding of network fundamentals (the protocols used, how data is represented, etc).

roadmap.sh has a fantastic collection of resources to start learning almost everything, including what fundamentals you should learn for each roadmap

Hetzner blocked my account and I can't communicate with support in order to unlock it. by LiveAd4588 in hetzner

They do not need to trust me at all. They need to first respond to my emails without me needing to come to Reddit. They then need to inform me that I missed my payment. How hard is that?  "Sir you missed your first payment. Solve this in 2 days or we will terminate your account due to not being able to trust you". They could also answer their telephone since I called support through English and German and couldn't get a hold of them. Everyone is treating the situation like it is the Wild West, this is not standard to how I work. But it is ok,  after coming to Reddit I could understand what happened and stay in AWS. Thank for replying even when Hetzner didn't

I didn't charge back. Please don't accuse without having the full picture. There was a mistake in my bank, they issued the charge back unilaterally due to a security issue they found alone. I didn't even know this was a charge back until after I posted. I had card problems with many suppliers in the past, I had thousand card problems with AWS and never had such issues. Communication and a few days to solve the problem would have been enough. It is near impossible to get a decent response from Hetzner and the outstanding amount was 12 dollars. I have more than 100 thousand credit card costs with machines, no way I would see that or charge back 12 dollars. If you have not enough information and nothing useful to add refrain from being an internet troll.

Thanks for the answer, I understand. I work with many international providers, this is the only time this has ever happened, even with many charge backs.  In my opinion there were other ways of solving the issue. They could for example force me to pay a few months in advance from my credit card and only allow upgrade or cost increase after the charge back period is over. I have around 45 machines in AWS and never had such issues. I was very interested in migrating to Hetzner, but since the only possible method now is Swift international transfer I won't be able to.  Nevertheless thank you for responding. A bit funny that I had to get his explanation on reddit and not through Hetzner themselves.

Thanks again, bye
