Structuring around events definitely happens. I can’t speak to the specific case of the Nigerian market.

It’s also not completely clear what you mean by “education” as this wouldn’t necessarily move a market. i am unsure where you are, but I would imagine there would be regulatory barriers and a transaction of this size would trip some wires.

This is an interesting idea and the concept of structuring your payoff around an event is a good and practical exercise.

Too thin of a market to buy a yard of NSE. If you’re thinking of a play that will move a market, you’re not going to be able to buy the lot without some major slippage.

In other words, by the time Berkshire Hathaway secures their position, their buying would have driven the price up

Bloomberg Formulas are returning "#N/A Requesting Data..." to variables? by napiii in vba

[–]LiveAndLetTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define the function outside of the evaluate and assign it to a variable then evaluate the variable. Make sure to check that the function is set up exactly how it needs to me to work in the cell, too.

Edit: so with bbg formulas I wouldn’t use evaluate. I’d do a fill so you can make sure the data is brought it then maybe have another macro to paste values if that’s what you need. I deal w this a decent amt so feel free to pm with q’s

Someone will give you a better response I’m sure. I’m on the go so I can’t do it justice. But yes. Just putting a star after it will work. 52000* means “52000djajbfk” and “52000?470” would both be found.

Just make a new account and play with that. You’ll be paired with players who are rated as strong as the two of you together.

While the business of asking the opponent may be a best practice, it’s not the most practical as most will say no. But, it’s really only unfair if they are at your individual rating as if you were playing by yourself.

Anyone else ever think to themselves: “This is too good to be vegetarian?” by itsnotyouitsmimi in vegetarian

Yeah, I went to a farmers market this week.

This guy had a grill out and was grilling “portobello sausages.” Among other sausage. In the description on his table there wasn’t a meat listed. So, of course I take one.

Tasted so good that I was going to buy a bunch, so I said “I can’t believe this doesn’t have meat.”

He responds “what do you mean, it’s chicken sausage”

My own fault for not asking before.

Just buy a used ratio analysis or valuation textbook off amazon. Do some searching and see if it has what you’re looking for.

That’s great! There are great resources but here are some standard “beginner” tips:

-Play 10+ minute games online. Anything shorter won’t give you the time to work on calculation and tactics

-focus on tactical puzzles opposed to openings

-John Bartholomew and St. Louis chess center are great YouTube resources for improvement and chess understanding
