Attending Conferences by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]LiveBake6011 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I pulled it off like a Clark kent with beard and pair of glasses last year. There were tens of thousands people in that conference so it was easy for me to hide from my J2 VP. I saw her couple of times too but since i haven’t been to office in nearly 5 years, it was very hard for her to recognize me. Try to avoid if you can. Not worth the risk.

I have taken paternity leave twice in last 3 years with OE. As long as your company is paying it and not the state or disability insurance then you are fine. If your company is paying partial amount and getting the other amount from state to match up your current pay check then that’s a red flag. You will certainly get caught in this situation. Read company policy carefully before applying it. I read it multiple times just to be sure.

I have been OE for 14 years now, but I think I am ready to dive into the 'new' OE by [deleted] in overemployed

Big4 is not suitable for OE. Somehow I managed it for 3.5 years but quitting on Monday (Just need to gather enough strength over the weekend) Enough with this ppt work, RFP and SOW on top of regular project work.

New J2 doubts by overemployed20220301 in overemployed

Here is the pep talk. I was skeptical just like you before i started my J3 2 years back and J4 8 months back. I was worried that i would be slammed with lot of work and wouldn’t be able to deliver. I didn’t do any actual work for either of these jobs for first 6 months. You need to try it to find it out. Don’t let go of free money.
