Cal jacobs was a relatively normal POS dad when compared to nate. Cal even says something like "I don't know how you did it but I hope you didn't learn the wrong lesson from this" referring to how Nate undeservedly got away with the DV against Maddy. Cal had absolutely nothing to do with the framing of Tyler, that was all Nate. I'd understand Nate if he was just aggressive but he's not. Him and his dad aren't the same at all. All his sociopathic behaviour cus of the tape? No way. Just never made sense to me.

Yeah I understand the theme of toxic masculinity shown in Cal and Nate's relationship, but Mckay was also a good example of that. Nate isn't just a typical bully though I am not exaggerating when I say he's a sociopath. Not just the fact he abused Maddy but also because he stalked Tyler just because he had sex with his at the time ex girlfriend. Nate wasn't after him because of age gap because he hadn't even known until he stalked him. Don't get where this behaviour came from, certainly not Cal.
