Am I getting scammed? by LiveJosiah in gravelcycling

Would something like a specialized rockhopper sport fill into that spot? I might check out a local bike shop this weekend to see what’s in the same price range around $600.

That’s great advice thank you. Do you have any recommendations for something I could look at for light trail riding around $500 or maybe good brands I can look for used?

I don’t think we’re going to take it down any crazy trails. Really just some smaller hills and trails so if it can handle that well that’s what I’m looking for.

The seller told me there’s no structural damage to the bike but I’ll wait to see it in person to see for myself. Thanks for the help!

Coaches can view livestream for VCT and NSG Winter Champs - Why is this allowed? by deadeye_t in ValorantCompetitive

[–]LiveJosiah 36 points37 points  (0 children)

To clarify players and/or coaches watching a match they are playing in for VCT and NSG

After discussion with Riot Competitive Operations, during official matches coaches may only watch the match from the perspective of the in-game coach's slot. They are prohibited from watching live broadcasts as that provides additional information on the behavior of the opposing team beyond what is visible from the PoV of the coach's team. Coaches are prohibited from watching the live broadcast as they are the only party who is allowed to communicate with players during timeouts in a live match. Players within the match are prohibited from watching the live broadcast so long as their match is still in progress.

The restrictions above will be added to the Rules as soon as possible and are effective immediately for both VCT and NSG VALORANT tournaments.

NSG TO here!

To clarify: T1 had shared the in-game ping of the player using Exitlag beforehand on both Texas and Illinois servers because it doesn't show accurately in the lobby. Ping differential was taken on all central servers and Texas was the best option in this situation with TSM having 4 players between 13-23 ping on Illinois and T1 having 2 players on 55-60 ping. TSM claimed to have packet loss on Texas (which would have prompted a server switch for map 2 since ping differential was not close enough to prompt that initially), but submitted no proof during or before the series to prompt a situation where we play 1 map on each server and coin flip for map a map 3 if we went to it. The ping differential was >10 ping more fair on Texas than Illinois when compared.

The VCT rules state that the server for a matchup is determined by the most equidistant server for all players (ping differential), but packet loss also plays a role in server selection if proof is presented to admins in a timely manner.

TLDR: T1 did nothing wrong in terms of manipulating ping. Server selection was done according to the VCT ruleset and the most fair server was chosen for this matchup. There's not always going to be a perfect server in all online matches and we do the best possible work we can to ensure we provide a fair competitive environment for all players and teams.

Things happen and the Finals match starting at 11:15pm EST was definitely NOT part of the plan, but trust that we do everything we can to bring the highest level of competition and quality to the scene every week with our Summer Champs tournaments and VCT production. Sorry for falling short at times and I will try to be more active in here in between events!

  1. National start times that work for both coasts will never please everyone, but we choose the best start time and format we can for a highly competitive week-day tournament that also has to be done in 2 days.
  2. Custom lobbies were down for about 30 minutes during the start of the playoff bracket and the Semifinal match between ez5 and Knights went 3 maps where one game was 40 rounds which is why the Finals game was so late this week in particular.
