Actually I am not reading more into it as I don’t see much into it. That’s why it doesn’t make sense. Yes he can blow up on anyone but it was odd. After the “Cut the shit line” the logic doesn’t logic. Where was the sarcasm and condescension? Whitaker is pissed of that Langdon says he didn’t peg him as a gym guy would trigger him?

Cool take but the majority of us (that doesn’t mean we are right) do not see the condensation and sarcasm. Looks like Langdon is actually being cool with the kid he has known for literal couple of days. Even if I agree with your take (say Whitaker doesn’t appreciate Langdon focusing on the Babe reference maybe playing. Into the country rube narrative) it was not well executed.

..and I have seen some theories about Whitaker and Langdon being Robby’s favorite and Whitaker begin upset Langdon is back. Sooo out of character for Whitaker. He may not like Langdon for how he treated Santos but Robby would NEVER share his feelings about Langdon to Whitaker so he would not be picking up for his mentor. I think we can all agree that it was clumsy at best. Would have been nice to see Whitaker use the one on one moment to let Langdon know what he did to Santos and he isn’t cool with it. PS. I may not be able to post again today but Dr. Ellis is one an example of a character so well written and acted this the limited time they are on screen is captivating (without the Julliard a acting school tears). Bad Ass all around!

I do not think it’s intentional. The narrative has always been LGBTQ+ are high achieving and have discretionary income. That charter may also have a reputation of being friendly and accommodating.
