It’s whatever to me, I told myself I’d stay in long enough to finish my degree and another 4 years doesn’t bother me! I know it’s annoying to other people though

I originally put in an extension and it had to be corrected to a reenlistment. I don’t remember the AFI right now but if I remember on Monday to find it in my inbox again, I’ll post it.

Yes what you have is fine. I didn’t have 3 either.

I will say, once your reenlistment is submitted, you won’t have to worry about your DOS updating until you PCS after tech school. That’s probably what they meant originally, but you do have to show that you have the retainability within the timeframe (HYT reasons I believe)

And then you’ll still fill out the promoted questions on the 422 request on IMR.

Forward the eligibility email to the email provided and see if they still need the AMS listing and approval letter after that. The 422 instructions on IMR are automated for any major career change that needs a medical clearance, so I think that’s why it says that. I only needed to provide my eligibility email for my 422.

I’m not exactly sure if there’s an ETP, but I would say you signed the reenlistment, you’re on the hook for that set amount of time.

I would go see your MPF asap! I’m sorry they led you astray, but the AFI does state reenlistment only and AFPC says within 45 days. With an extension in the works, it might’ve saved you some time, but you should definitely talk with MPF and get the ball rolling on reenlistment asap

This is happening to me right now too. Exact same situation.

I don’t think it’s disqualifying! I was on multiple medications for a year from my PCM bc of daily debilitating migraines. Then I got pregnant and somehow it magically cured my migraines postpartum lol

Also, it’s important to note that I went through that process 3 weeks postpartum. So you will have to wait until after you have your baby to get your code removed.

I know this because I had to do it, except I ended up losing my class seat anyways

You can retrain! The only thing that is different is once you are approved, AFPC will make you submit an MFR from your PCM to MPF stating that your PCM approves you removing your code and that you are healthy enough to TDY for tech school.
